Really like this formation, with Bertrand switching between CB and LB, and Targett switching between LW and LWB, we can switch between 442 and 352 really easily as needed, must be a nightmare to play against. Only slight downside is that it shackles Bertrand's attacking threat, but Targett's been stepping up on that front with this formation. With this, Austin signing, not to mention the cricket, it's been a good day!

Would people hypothetically pay more at the gates for more signings?
Jimmy_D replied to eddie's topic in The Saints
Taking your premise that we ignore that matchday income is relatively insignificant these days, I think you've got your cause and effect turned around here. If there were more signings, AND this led to a better product on display (better football, Europa or maybe even Champions League), there would be more demand for tickets. It would be that increased demand that would lead to increased ticket prices. Increasing ticket prices with the the promise of better signings would probably have the opposite effect, reducing demand as people waited for the better signings to actually be bought and justify the increased prices. -
Right, now to go on, score again, and avoid the replay.

Defensively he looked pretty decent, only thing I noticed is that he was tending to get drawn towards the middle a bit too much, leaving space out wide. Others covered or he recovered himself each time, so was possibly tactical by Koeman to contest the middle more. In any case, Arsenal weren't able to take advantage of it.

The two goals we had disallowed were 'discussable' as well

Long - Found beast mode today. Martina - What a goal. WHAT. A. GOAL! Koeman - Tactically outclassed Wenger today.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
Jimmy_D replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
"Here and now Islam has a much bigger problem with violence than any other religion." could certainly have been seen to imply otherwise. In any case, I think SOG took that to be aimed at all Muslims, which from this it appears he maybe shouldn't have done, and also that you could have made your point a bit better. You're still choosing to use ad hominem attacks rather than clarify your point. Personally, my view is that it's a twisted view of Islam that's being used to 'justify' these attacks by a tiny minority of extremists. If it wasn't Islam, it would be something else. Islam as a religion is a victim here, not the cause. -
Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

So when are you going to stop your ad hominem arguments against SOG and actually address his quite valid point that the vast VAST majority of Muslims are peaceful, normal people that don't deserve to be viewed with any suspicion or malice whatsoever? -
Nico very impressive the last couple of races, wonder if he can carry it into next season and make more of a fight of it?

I wouldn't give any sort of review to the teams personally. It's ridiculous though, that the referees don't have some sort of access to the technology themselves. People would still end up feeling hard done by, wrong calls would made, but the right calls would be made more often.

Would be quite amusing if they actually start using that now...
