  5. It's still possible for us to be in a local derby against Bournemouth next season, while Pompey could be in a local derby with, um, Eastleigh...
  6. On our part, it's less hatred, and more pity, contempt, and no small amount of epicaricacy.

  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-26931337 Unexpected to say the least.
  9. Was a great race yesterday. Yes, we have a team far out in front, but at least it looks like we have a good battle within that team, as well as plenty of overtaking and battles down the field.
  10. I don't think there should be any input from teams (ie. no challenges or reviews) but I do think there should be measures to try and ensure the cameras are independent, and that the officials should be able to use the information from the cameras in their own decision making.

  12. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-26885624 Showing signs of starting to wake up...
  13. Also in the August 2012 match!
  14. I think he'll still be here next season. He's got four years left on his contract, seems to be happy here, and another year of improving and playing consistently will probably see his value go up more than the difference between 4 years left on his contract and 3 years left on his contract will bring it down. After that, it'll depend on how Saints have done next season I reckon, whether he'll start wanting to leave.
  15. Depends if the clause (if it ever existed, and was/is still valid) was sold to the new company that's now Portsmouth as part of the Admin process.
  16. Mutual consent is the term usually used when a manager has agreed to accept a reduced (not usually none) compensation fee.
  17. Hit the post after conceding as well! Still... Pompey vs Northampton will decide this I reckon.
  18. Aye, enjoyed that
  19. If by some 'Greece winning the Euros x10' slice of luck, that happened, we really would see 'Rickie Lambert - The Movie'
  20. Well, if you're going to give away two sloppy goals like that, better to do it in a game where we score 4 and otherwise look very comfortable. Morgan MotM for me, if France won't take him maybe England will heh.
  21. You've repeated these comments out of context several times now. Give it a rest.
  22. I read it as Krueger seeming to think there's a possibility of closing the revenue gap between us and the top teams, the 'price to pay' being the hard work it'll take to close that gap, compete financially with them, and offer competitive wages. Ultimately, whatever his intentions now, the reality might end up being very different. Maybe he intends to keep hold of players, paying for it by making us big in the US, but fails, and we'll have to sell some players. Maybe he intends to sell some players to fund a competitive team, but Katharina will step in having fallen for the club like her father did, and keep the team together. Not much we can do except sit back and watch, and hope we keep improving.
  23. Spare a thought for Sunderland, their clear route to the final was stopped by Hull. Or for City, who had their quadruple hopes crushed by Wigan. Then there's Man Utd, who surely should have done better than the Third Round? Yes, we could have done better, but it's the fact we're gutted, rather than resigned, that shows the progress we've made, rather than the stage we went out or the draw we would have had. Nothing we can do about what's happened except use it to drive us on to do better next year.
  24. Well, that makes up for one of the games we've dominated without winning.
