  1. One of the very best matches I've seen recently, that was fun! Atmosphere was awesome, could have won, Shaw was awesome, everyone put a great performance in! Disappointing Arsenal held on in the end, but would have taken your arm off if offered that result before the game against top of the league with the spine of our team missing! I have no voice.
  2. Draw has opened right up now!
  3. I'd have been more impressed if he'd used 'epicaricacy', but that aside, by my calculations, that makes us the happiest football fans in the world at the moment...
  4. You'll have Old Town Kissimmee just close to where you're staying, which is really good for a 'rest' day. (If you haven't been before, it's surprising how tiring it gets, walking around the theme parks, and rushing to try and get everything in, especially as Florida is a very very warm state. Old Town Kissimmee is much smaller and lets you relax a little) They have the tallest Sky Coaster in the world there, which is awesome, and worth the visit alone to 'get the t-shirt'. (Literally) Sometimes they have classic car rallies there as well, which might be something you're interested in. Boggy Creek is decent, they take you out on a jetboat, which is fun by itself, to try and see crocodiles. We weren't lucky enough to see any, but there was a bald eagle nesting there that we saw. Fast passes are worth considering in the parks. They're expensive, but they mean you're going to get at least 3 or 4 times as many rides in. (At Universal, they won't get you on to the Harry Potter ride. Best way to reduce queueing for that is to get there early when the park opens and head right for it) Other than that, general tips, wear a hat, wear sunscreen, stick to the shade, drink plenty, take advantage of every shop having air conditioning. Losing a day to heat stroke or exaustion is annoying. If you're planning to drive out there, make sure you've read up on the rules of the road. (eg. you can turn right at a red light, unless there's a sign telling you you can't. This means you have to watch out for others deciding you're travelling slow enough to pull out in front of you from the right through a red light) Also, check if there's a satellite launch from Kennedy during your stay there! Either you'll want to go and see it, or you'll want to avoid it because the Centre will be packed that day and you can't really enjoy it. Sorry if any of that seems too obvious! Oh, and last of all, really throw yourself into the holiday, have fun and enjoy it
  5. Aye, at St Mary's though. You have to score five to be confident of winning at the Etihad at the moment!
  6. Safely through. Please not Man City away in the next round!
  7. The fact they'll be winning more games and mounting a promotion push will mean they'll get bigger crowds and therefore more income after they go down as well. At least, that's what they were saying at the start of this season... I'd assume they'll try the same trick again.
  8. Not that it means Shaw will never leave us, but that screenshot is fake. The retweets from the Sky Sports tweet would still be there, and they simply don't exist. All that are there are other accounts that have copied the screenshot.
  9. Not sure where the idea we've hit a glass ceiling already has come from? We're on the back of five years of continuous improvement in league position. Our first team is currently capable of getting results against the best teams in the league. That same squad is among the youngest in the league and likely to improve, and also likely to stick around for a while as they're on long contracts. What seems to have held us back most recently is the lack of depth in squad, rather than the quality of first choice players. Similar investment to what we've already seen could certainly help with the depth problem, and would likely see us carry on improving for a while yet. As far as I can see, until we see otherwise, there's a lot to be optimistic about.
  10. Anyone have any idea if Chinese media have picked up on this rumour?
  11. Really thought the rumours of this were just really wishful thinking, but does seem that there's something there than just rumours from fans... Or maybe I'm just as guilty of wishful thinking myself heh.
  12. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?48656-Post-Match-Reaction-Sunderland-2-2-SAINTS#.UtqTm3jfW0c
  13. Does Delap count as a defender?
  14. Really?
  15. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?48561-Cortese-has-left-Southampton-Football-Club#.UtbcvHmetBU Onto a new thread now it's confirmed officially.
  16. Probably the best case scenario if the reports are true, but I doubt that will happen. Would be funny to see the reaction of Pompey fans if it does though Still only reports from third parties currently, one of a journalist's magic words 'expected' sat in there. Does look likely he's on his way though. One encouraging thing is that all the reports of keeping hold of players etc. from the club have presumably come after he tendered his resignation, if that report is true.
  17. SSN in their current reports are saying that Cortese has confirmed he wants to leave, but what the source is for that I have no idea. As far as I can see, it all started with reports that Cortese wanted to leave in the summer, and then escalated rapidly when it was reported that he had handed in his resignation. That then changed to conflicting reports that the resignation had been refused, and reports that the resignation hadn't been handed in. Now there are conflicting reports that there's a row between Cortese and KL, which has been caused by the owner wanting more control, or the owner wanting to sell, or Cortese wanting more backing, and that Cortese's future is unclear. Further muddying the waters is that the reactions of the manager and players from when this happened during the summer are being re-reported, and it's not being made clear that they aren't reactions to the current situation. Meanwhile, in line with Saints' usual method of dealing with speculation, there's been no official response.
  18. I like this page, it feels like a good number.
  19. Seems remarkably similar to the situation during the summer now. Guess it's just a case of wait and see again.
  20. SSN actually reported all three of those within a couple of minutes of each other at one point.
  21. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?48549-Cortese-to-go#.UtaB2XmetBU Might as well keep this to one thread.
  22. I was there for his goal against Derby! Cracking goal it was too, felt at the time he would push on and become a decent player for us after that, but it was pretty soon after that he got that bad foot injury if I recall correctly. He never really got another chance after that.
  23. Seedorf retiring from playing to take the role of manager apparently. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25733133
  24. If we do turn down a bid of £30m for him, sends out a hell of a message. To other teams, to the media that would be all over it as well, to us fans that the ambition is serious, and to other potential targets that we're serious about the ambition and the story we sell.
