http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11662/9024080/premier-league-sky-sports-looks-at-the-tightest-title-race-in-over-a-decade Also... http://www.givemesport.com/400801-liverpool-deserve-tremendous-credit-for-their-season-so-far "Liverpool's only two losses this season have come against two of the other top four teams in the league, Southampton and Arsenal. The Southampton defeat may have seemed like a huge disappointment at the time, but based on how the season has transpired, Liverpool can be proud to have played so well against arguably the most in-form team in the Premier League." That's talking about Liverpool. At Anfield. Against us. Reckon the media is starting to get even more carried away than we are!

There always used to be high hopes for Ryan Seager. I haven't heard much about him recently, but apparently he did sign a new deal earlier this year.

Admitted I got that wrong whilst supporting Saints!

Another one that probably applies to most fans in the county... the number of times I've gone nuts celebrating a goal... only to find out it was offside/in the side netting/saved on the line/actually went in and bounced off the advert boards... and not given. The worst one for me being when I was still celebrating as they went up the other end and scored -

Reading the various Arsenal forums, there's something you don't see from them very often. There's fear.

The other threads would have just ended up with posters sniping at each other, then defending themselves, and then bringing completely unrelated things into it like levels of optimism and pessimism. We've seen the exact same thread a thousand times before. This one, inviting people to own up to their own mistakes, is far more likely to be constructive. I like it! I remember confidently telling a mate that the Poortvliet/Wotte experiment, playing the kids, would see us playing the best football in the division and get us promoted… >_ Have to admit, I was one of the people convinced that Paul Allen was about to take over as well. -
This one won't end well either.
-
This is never going to end well.
-
Just one more would see us above them with any win against them.

We've had nearly half a decade of chairman setting expectations far higher than the most optimistic fans even dared to really hope for, and then the team beating those expectations every single time. It's hard not to get carried away. If we stop rising, fall back a bit, then we'll finally start waking up heh.

Way back... this was meant to be the last year of a five year plan just to get back in the Prem, and it was called waaay too ambitious to be able to do it that quickly. Now we sit here so far this season competing in the top four, might have a chance to go top a third of the way through the season next gameweek, and we're being praised as the future of English football. Football. Bloody Hell.
-
So... safe to say it's been a good week for us?

City relentless at the moment...
-
Realistically, our chances of the title are incredibly tiny, but that's still a huge amount more than they normally are! The league is strange this year, the biggest chance in a long long time for an 'outsider' to win it.

Results so far this weekend have been near-perfect!
-
I think we'll lose to Arsenal and beat Chelsea, but with our form at the moment, all three results are possible in both.
-
It's not just the delivery and set pieces he's good at, his contribution to the press is fantastic. He keeps chasing and harrassing the opposition for the whole 90 minutes.
-
You forgot JWP
-
-
And even better now I wonder what the chances are we'll see all three of them on the pitch at the same time… Cross from Lallana, headed back across goal by Lambert to be finished off by J-Rod, cue pictures of the three of them celebrating together in England shirts making a perfect desktop picture.

-
Is Clyne still in the U21 setup? I'd guess that's already given them a chance to look at those two (and JWP), this friendly looks to be a chance to look at some completely new players.
