  1. It's not just the delivery and set pieces he's good at, his contribution to the press is fantastic. He keeps chasing and harrassing the opposition for the whole 90 minutes.
  2. You forgot JWP
  3. And even better now I wonder what the chances are we'll see all three of them on the pitch at the same time… Cross from Lallana, headed back across goal by Lambert to be finished off by J-Rod, cue pictures of the three of them celebrating together in England shirts making a perfect desktop picture.
  4. Currently trending in the UK…
  5. Is Clyne still in the U21 setup? I'd guess that's already given them a chance to look at those two (and JWP), this friendly looks to be a chance to look at some completely new players.
  6. 'Jay Rodriguez' trending worldwide at the moment!
  7. Wow, that's amazing! I wonder if other clubs' fans will complain that Saints players are getting picked now due to 'big club bias'
  8. "Southampton boss Manuel Pellegrini" Obviously double checked all their facts with this story...

  10. Fair play to him for coming out with that after the crap we've given him the last few times we've played his teams.

  12. Needed that.

  14. Ummm...
  15. If there's one team other teams don't want to face even the slightest bit tired at the moment, it's Saints. Our fitness and pressing should see us have a good chance of all three points.
  16. An English guy pipes up from the corner that he invented the team.
  17. What if we need to win it to win the league and stop Man City taking the title? Back to this start of ours, looking at the fixtures, if we win the next two games (not a given, but certainly possible) we could be going into the game against Arsenal knowing a win will take us top for at least an hour or so. Chelsea are the late game that day, and Spurs don't play until Sunday. Liverpool have Arsenal, Fulham, and Everton and would need to drop at least two points from those with us gaining three goals on them, or drop three points. Arsenal have Liverpool, Fulham and Man United and would need to drop at least two points for us to be able to overtake them with a win.
  18. http://www.rantsports.com/soccer/2013/10/27/england-can-reap-rewards-of-continental-influence-at-southampton/ People outside of Southampton are starting to think of our players as potential England International players.
  19. That has to be the best Saints performance I've ever been lucky enough to be in the ground to see.
  20. Ah good. I always worry when he's predicted us to win.
  21. Redcafe forum is worth a read this evening
  22. http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/24503988 Full write-up on the BBC is far more balanced than the 'Man Utd haven't won at home' template they used for the short one they put up quickly We've had an awesome result today, challenge now is to follow it up against Fulham if we're going to actually mount any sort of challenge on the higher places. Maybe the aiming for Top 4 helped us today? Not sure Saints teams of the past would have still been fighting and chasing at 89 mins losing at Old Trafford with as much belief and effort as we did today, back when our aim was mainly to avoid relegation. What might help us is the League One / Championship experience we still have in the team. The constant pressure of having to get a result every single week is something we've experienced, albeit at a lower level.
  23. We are a bloody good side. (And have a better midfield than United )
