Only that if he'd finished ahead of Button it'd have been him that crossed the line to earn the 1/2 point Brawn needed to clinch the title, a very very minor point I'll admit, but it would have been nice for him.

Flippin' eck, what a drive by Jenson to win the title. Wish Rubens had got the points to win Brawn the constructors title though, he deserved at least that, but in the end the puncture denied him even that little bit of glory.

So, it all kicks off with practice tomorrow (just about!) and I'm personally predicting Button will finish less than 5 points behind Barichello and Vettel will finish 3rd or worse for Brawn and Button to pick up the titles.

does anyone else get the feeling we've seen this before? when Crouch/Wilde took over here... everyone was hailing it as a new dawn for the club, but Lowe was still in and around the club, and we all know how it turned out for us... Not saying that's necessarily the case with them, but it draws parallels at least...

hm, assuming for one minute that these people are serious about putting money into Portsmouth, and they're willing to buy them back up the league (much like our owner)... Imagine the atmosphere that a Saints Pompey Champions League tie would create

If the results this year were reversed and Button was winning the LAST 6 out of 7 races to win the title, everyone would be hailing him as one of the greatest ever champions.

going back on topic for a moment (oh the shock....) I'm confident that Saints will still be there to support at Christmas. Can't say the same about Pompey with any confidence right now, so as things stand AT THE MOMENT, I'd choose our position.

geez, and to think this might well have been us if Pinnacle had taken over... You know, I really wouldn't be suprised if Fahim turns out to be a Saints supporter... Does this mean that all of Pompey's players are technically available on a free now, because of the breach of contract?

Good game really, just absolutely gutting we were on the wrong side when it all finished, could have gone either way. We'll have better days.
