lol at this on the BBC Sport website: In his absence Daniel Sturridge will need to move to another level - something he is capable of Like he stepped up in Brazil you mean? He will be a misfiring one trick pony this season without Suarez.

Hopefully Harry will put Hoddles mind at rest by confirming his belief in Dog.

All vastly overrated. Sturridge and Sterling were complete pony in Brazil. And no Suarez to act as a foil this season. Coutinho is all puff as well. Get big Vic on him and he's gone. Throw in Granny Gerrard and they aren't all that really. 0-0.

Morgan's head gone- Update: It has been re-attached
Kingsbridge Saint replied to Chez's topic in The Saints
If Spurs don't make a stupid offer let him rot. Head on a pole outside the training ground (metaphorically). No-one else puts us over a barrel. It has to stop, and someone has to be made an example of. -
Rickie Lambert - Dream to Nightmare?
Kingsbridge Saint replied to georgeweahscousin's topic in The Saints
They only signed Lambert to make Gerrard look mobile. They are ****ed this season. No Suarez, Sturridge has caught Torres disease in Brazil and Gerrard's legs have gone. And they still have Glen Johnson. Going to be a sorry old season for the ex Saints lads. They should have saved their money and instead splashed out on some studs for Gerrard last season. -
To put things in perspective we have: 1. A place in the Premier League 2. Ronald Koeman as Manager 3. A First Class Stadium 4. Arguably the best training facilities in the country 5. A pipeline of academy players that regularly and systematically end up playing in the Premier League, and beyond. 6. Attendances that the Skates would love 7. £100m in the bank Suck on that Pompey. Lol.

It's very good. Worth a watch

And Pochettino pretty much said they could bring games and take beach balls and towels onto the pitch.

First Premier League manager to go?
Kingsbridge Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Rogers will be under pressure. Too many big time charlies at Anfield, Gerrard past it but will be persisted with, Sturridge has caught Torres disease and Suarez is gone. I can see them losing their first one at home and the pressure building from there. -
Country's top academy, $80M in the bank, top half of the Premier League - lazy comparison to 'unfortunate' neighbours.......

Poch aiming for the league title with spurs
Kingsbridge Saint replied to Bos Vegas Saint's topic in The Saints
Will be sacked in October 2015 after an average first season (about 6th) and a slow start to 2015/16. Quite specific, I know, but a better bet than Spurs winning the League in the next 5 years. -

No way is Sturridge going to pass to him. Sturridge will be far too busy trying to bounce one of his wild shots off one of the sloping foreheads in Row Z.
-
£20M is not a bad offer for Lovren all told. We should take them money, but insist the scouse b@st4rds pay it all up front. No excuse that they're a bit tight on cashflow after shelling out £27M for Lallana. Stump up or jog on. I hope we smash them first game.

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m
Kingsbridge Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Wonder if Sturridge will pass to him now or continue to take pot shots from 25 yards that end up in row 7. With him and the other England duds Gerrard and Johnson Liverpool are heading down rather than up. Gerrard was ****ing terrible in the World Cup and Sturridge missed at least 7 chances against Costa Rica. Club on the slide, like Lallana's career. -
Benchwarmer at Anfield. Then retirement. Such a waste.
-
Anyone else watch Slimani today? He was the same in the last game too. Goes down with negligible contact, remains motionless, forces play to stop. Doesn't respond to prolonged treatment. Stretcher on, loaded in, carted off. The instant the stretcher is over the line he's up and elbowing the sub out of the way and straight back on. Watch him in particular against Germany, they will be playing for 0-0 from the start and the stage is set.
-
Lallana is the most gifted, natural left sided midfielder available. He did well in that position leading up to the WC, I was staggered Woy played Rooney there first game. Following that stupid decision the WC went precisely the way you might expect for England. Hodgson is now making himself look an idiot with his final game tactics and substitutions, and his comments about the Costa Rica performance, the tournament as a whole and Gerrard and Lampards England futures. Get rid of the old fool.
-
Does this annoy anyone else or is it part of the game now? Team in the lead, second half normally and there's 1. feigning injury, stretcher and straight back on 2. Picking up the ball for a throw then giving it to someone else. 3. Subs walking off at snails pace usually having gone to the far touchline first 4. The hold the ball trick so multiball can't be used for a restart. 5. Going down with cramp - especially during injury time. Why don't FIFA anything about it all? If it was me - every time some tart went off on a stretcher and wanted to come straight back on I would institute a 5 minute 'stand down' for 'health and safety'. 5 minutes with 10 men - that would stop that one for starters.
-
No-one seems to have said it for fear of nepotism I guess but dropping Lallana for the first two group games was a terrible mistake. He is arguably the only player we have that can hold the ball under pressure, and create space and opportunities operating between the midfield and attack. Without him England created little and folded under pressure. Roy will have a few sleepless nights over the course of next season as Lallana becomes one of the stand out Premier League midfielders and establishes himself firmly as an England midfield general. Wasted opportunity in Brazil Roy, wasted opportunity.

We have the players. We just suffer from the media picking the team. English SBS commentator in the Uruguay game when Lallana came on commented on his 'opportunity to cement a place'. Never comments like that about plodders like Welbeck who just get in on the media love in with the big clubs. I don't care about this game. Will be watching Uruguay hopefully put the Italians out to punish them for being so casual against Costa Rica. England will win 4-0 and few will notice, even fewer will care. The horse has bolted. It's over.
