  1. My lad can't log in to Saints Player on his laptop. Or yahoo mail, or facebook, or a few other sites at the log in screen. We have a wireless network in the house and our other 3 laptops are fine. He has no other issues with net access. It won't work at Maccas either so it's not an ISP issue. No sites are blocked on his machine. Tried with firewall disabled, tried with cookies deleted, have run Avast scan and Malwarebytes scan. Have reconfigured DNS settings. Tried system restore. Tried internet settings restore. Microsoft updates on his machine exactly the same as everyone elses. Any tecchies out there got any other ideas of things to try? Cheers
  2. Still a few twists and turns left if we keep winning.
  3. Poor performance by all accounts, but a good result. Sometimes it's the other way around, but right now it's the results that count so I'm happy. Still mathematically in the shout for a play off place so not giving up, but not holding out much hope either. Huddersfield are nailed on for tonight (it is Easter) and they will be over the green hill far away once again.
  4. Posh is a given, Plymouth will make for a couple of south coast derbys and Scunny have a nice pitch and should be beatable home and away.
  5. Tonights results (Friday) certainly put some perspective on some of the angst on here. Norwich beaten by Tranmere, and significantly, Colchester beaten by Exeter. Brighton at home was a shocker but Brighton away starts to look like a point gained after all.
  6. No it didn't - it helped build confidence if anything. And next year will be no cakewalk either. We are not going to 'walk this league'. We will still have midweek matches away at gritty little clubs who will raise their game and give us a kicking.
  7. Tough game and all things considered a well ground out point. We probably needed to win though, so why we left it so long to bring on a proven goalscorer and the guy who got the assist is a mystery. Might be a point gained if Exeter turn over Colchester Friday night though. Play offs still not a serious chance as far as I am concerned, but encouraged that Pardew still seems to be going for it.
  8. My preference would be for us to win every game from now to eternity, so promotion this year would be best. However, as I am a realist I would be content to go up next season. Would also like us to finish this season strongly even if we do drop those few points that will rule us out of the play offs.
  9. Wasn't overly bothered before the game - thought it would be good to win but not over excited by the whole JPT thing. Now it's been won, and emphatically, I am surprised to be so chuffed and to be feeling so positive about the whole season. Even if we miss the playoffs (and I'm pretty sure we will) I still think we've had a good season and I have much optimism (not misplaced overconfidence) that next season will see us in the top 2. hope those of you priviliged enough to be at Wembley really enjoyed it. God knows, as Saints fans you all deserve it.
  10. Lets make it a day to remember Saints. We've come a long long way in 12 months. Lets win the thing this time, unlike 03, 92 and 79. COYR.
  11. Forty thousand a week for Tal Ben Haim. Lol.
  12. We have to remember we were relegated with one of the worst sides ever seen in the shirts. So - at least 10 games to turn that around - say a point a game on average. Then 2 points a game on average after that. So 82, less the 10, 72 would be par and a decent job done by AP. So that leaves 19 points required from the last 9 games. Would be disappointed if we didn't do that.
  13. Game of opinions and you are entitled to yours. But I am disappointed that one of our supporters deems it necessary to slag off so vehemently one of our own players. Wotton has been a model pro over the years and deserves better than that.
  14. Always nice to win, although it was a bit scratchy by all accounts. Lets go and win the cup then approach each league game as winnable to the end of the season. If we are going to be a force in this division next season we need to finish this season as a winning team both for confidence, and player retention over the summer.
  15. Time to rest a few before the cup final in my opinion. Play offs are gone - so lets win a trophy.
  16. Nice win, take that. Bit easier with the play offs gone and the pressure off though.
  17. **** happens. We need to get more consistency though. It's a mental thing that needs sorting.
  18. It will be a massive disappointment for you setting the bar that high, I am afraid. We will need to improve a lot to 'walk this league'. It will be tense, tight and we will lose matches as well as win some. Hopefully we will be competitive in the top quarter of the division and be good enough for automatic promotion. But I won't be calling for Pardews head if we're not 15 points clear at the top by bonfire night.
  19. Cue conceding the first goal in the first 5 minutes......
  20. Can't see us winning enough to make the play offs - but can't hurt to keep the dream alive a bit longer. COYR. One game at a time.
  21. Spot on. And the hallmark of a poor kneejerk referee. Walton should retire.
  22. Given the level of criticism and allegations of outright bias both from Saints and Leeds supporters, this referee should be subject to some form of enquiry by his governing body. Either he had a draw down on an accumulator or it was simply a personal thing. Either way it needs to be addressed to protect the integrity of the game.
  23. Great win. Pardew spot on about consistency though. Need to beat Swindon Tuesday to keep play off hopes flickering. And to the Leeds fan bleating on 606 about how Leeds and Norwich are "clearly" the best sides in League 1, hope you choke on your gravy, you Northern Monkey.
  24. So 'cut to the bone' leaves Storrie (henceforth referred to as overheads) on 420k per annum and all the loan players still on the payroll. Fishy indeed. Overheads need to be eliminated as far as possible to protect the creditors.
  25. I bet Pompey's 9 point deduction won't be applied until after the barsteurds are already mathematically down. Won't matter then. Hope they get liquidated well before anyway.
