I'm backing Hubert Lieberr because I like the name Hubert .
-
Speaking on behalf of the Anti Thorpie Coalition I can say we don't want his type on here . Thorpie out

Battle of the Diggers - KOMATSU launch rival last minute bid for the Saints .
-
The way I see it Liebherr would definitely want the raise the profile of the club by getting it promoted , but not with an aim of then selling SFC for a profit (they hardly down to their last Swiss Franc are they ) but rather keeping it to help raise the international awareness of their business empire . But there again the whole thing might be a house of sand built on the foundation of one unsubstantiated story in the Sunday Mail .
-
Knowing their love of heavy machinery that train picture might make them feel at home . My 'tenuous link of the day' candidate is this connection between Liebherr and Ferrari - which of course fully explains Michael Schumacher's interest in the Saints . http://www.khl.com/magazines/international-cranes-and-specialized-transport/detail/item40167/Liebherr-lifting-Experience/

I'm all in favour of a prudent wage bill but the record shows WT has 12 months left on his contract , if he doesn't want to go we'll just have to pay him what was agreed - these are the facts of footballing life . We can't rely on Chris Perry playing as many games as he miraculously managed last season , Michael Svensson & JPS are also out of the picture (at this time anyway) so I'd suggest experienced defenders (such as a fit Wayne Thomas) will have an important role to play . We really don't want to start yet another season short of centre backs do we ? - been there done that .
-
I don't see how Wotte can say that "Thomas is too expensive" when it remains far from clear what budget we'll be operating with this coming season - unless he knows something we don't (surly not )

Mr Bizzle senior reacted violently when his son called him 'common' .

Yes that's the one , he inherited the eye-patch ( & chronic incontinence) from his late father , Gross Admiral Mattieus Graf von Löwenstein-Scharffeneck - best remembered as the only man ever to lose a battleship on Lake Geneva .
-
I understand that Maria Theodora (known as 'Teddy' in the family) is engaged to the most eligible bachelor in all the Netherlands - Baron van der Tissenberg the heir to the 'Sainte-Marie Industire' cement fortune . It's all starting to make sense to me now .
-
But you're forgetting Switzerland's fabulously wealthy Ruprecht von Lowenstein - the infamous collector of Victorian pornography and Saints fan .

That's twice 'flid' has been used on here this morning and as it's a reference to Thalidomide I'd say we could probably do without it .

A question for those actually managing to keep up with this on going saga - Is the 'Swiss Bid' a consortium or not ?
-
Paul Allen doesn't want his boat boarded .

I'd say Stern John could be a top quality striker in L1 - personally I rate him above Rasiak or Saganowski .
-
PFC only just survived last season and their squad has weakened significantly since then , as it stands they're looking a pretty good bet to go down I'd say . I find it most peculiar that with a supposedly mega rich new owner on the horizon they still feel the need to cut the wage bill so drastically while signing nobody and leaving the managment situation unclear . Perhaps one of our semi-tame Saintsweb pompeyites might care to enlighten us on the latest developments , though it must be said I'd swap our problems for theirs in a New York minute .

So Pinnacle think they would still have the fans support
CHAPEL END CHARLIE replied to SET's topic in The Saints
I think it's fair to say there's little or no confidence in the Pinnacle consortium within the fan base after last Tuesday's highly damaging developments . The only way (short of the immediate purchase of SFC) for them to regain any credibility with Saints fans would be a full and frank explanation of the reason for withdrawing and a equally no-bullsh1t disclosure of the true funding source(s) behind this bid . Over to you Mr Lynam ............. -
I don't think we deserve it - I don't think most of the other clubs that have had it imposed on them deserved it either for that matter (Leeds Utd excepted obviously) . I consider it deeply flawed both in principle and practice and I have zero confidence in the FL's ability to administer in a fair and just manner . I can only say all those on here citing 'morality' as a justification for us accepting this sanction must be employing a completely new and novel definition of that word compared to the one I left school with many , many years ago .

Oi !! Oversized avatar privileges for us little people too

Nein!! dat Fokker ist eine Messerschmitt .

Newsflash.......... mysterious foreigner spotted outside St Marys
-
Sorry it was very late and I don't remember the exact terminology used but the gist of it was that Pinnacle's negotiations with the FL had 'failed' and that Fry was now concentrating on two other bids .
-
Last night BBC South were hinting (we understand ..etc) that the Pinnicle bid was more or less dead in the water .
