You're suggesting Cortese is De Facto owner of the club having borrowed Markus Leibheer's money to buy it ? - interesting hypothesis but a more simple explanation (Ockham's Razor) is that the ownership arrangements are as stated - NC running the club on ML's behalf .

Let's wait and see how he does but on the face of it NC looks like a top quality appointment , although bankers do have a somewhat tarnished reputation these days . :grin: With Markus Liebherr probably taking a limited interest in the day to day running of the club , Mr Cortese is in effect one of the most powerful men in this club's long history - a personal friend of the owner (of whom I guess we won't see much of) and with no shareholders to answer to makes him 'Mr Saints' from now on . The fact that someone in authority at the club considered signing Molyneux a wise or necessary move when we already had a more talented player in Mills (both are at a similar stage in their careers) shows just how utterly clueless the management of the club was at the time . It takes no great insight to see that 'Fish' Mills has a bright future in the game , any average fan with a pair of eyes in their head could see it to be perfectly frank - unfortunately footballing common sense was in somewhat short supply in these here parts last season .
