Also, Davis is a confidence player big time.... it took him 2 years to recover from his Sunderland nightmare. In those 2 years he was ****e for us. I don't think he's the sort to be able to maintain top form playing once a fortnight in front of 3 men and a dog.

Havng 3 lighweight, can't tackle, midfielders (Lallana, McGoldrick and Surman) in the side at the end of the season was one of the main reasons we couldn't grind out results.
