It was Flybe and I was 'advised' to remove it... www.leagueoneminus10.blogspot.com now has added Yeovil.

I cannot see Papa being played on the wing where he has to track back and help the full back in an away game against the best team in the league in his first game in English football. He'll be up front if anywhere but I'd say he's more likely to be a sub. You could bring him on, on the wing with 25 to go if we're losing. So... -----------------Davis Thomas-----Perry--------Trotman-----Harding Lallana------James------Hammond-----Mills -------------Saga-------Lambert Subs: Bart, Wotton, Mellis, Schneiderlin, Paterson, Holmes, Waigo If it was a home game I'd pick Schneiderlin ahead of James
-
He should play but should be the more forward of the two central midfielders. When he plays in the holding role (as he did under the ****wit Poortvliet) he just coasted around in front of the back four and did nothing. He can pick a pass, he can go past people and he can shoot.
-
Davis 8 - Dealt well with anything that came his way - the odd cross that landed 5 yards out that he didn't come for. Thomas 7 - Good game I thought - looks confident at right back Trotman 6 - Good 2nd half but Darren Powell like in the first - the corner he gave away when trying to clear it over his shoulder was a particular highlight. Perry 7 - Same as always, solid and reliable Harding 7 - Troubled for pace sometimes against No7 but a good game Mellis 5 - Send him back - too lightweight and not a winger in the slightest James 6/2 - He winds me up - not bad in midfield but when he went toright back he was sh!t. Crosses from the half way line are never going to work. Hammond 7 - Some decent stuff and shots but some terrible crosses. Lallana 8 - Pretty good game I thought. Lambert 6 - Did what he could winth zero service below 9 foot and a referee who didn't give him one free kick all game Paterson 2 - Abysmal. Doesn't seem to have any awareness of anything and no clue about the offside rule. Subs: Thomson 2 - this guy is a waste of space. hopefully won;t be near the squad when Waigo gets in. Schneiderlin 8 - what a difference when he came on. Class player. In with Hammond next time please. Mills 6 - Started very well, then faded, the came back into it. once he gets fit should be very near a start.
-
By no stretch of the imagination is Trotman a class player. He's ok in a limited way and he does a job in this league. he'd be shocking against a mobile attack.
-
Totally agree. He's the Scottish Steve McClaren - very very average club record, gets the national job and no one really knows why, one qualifying campaign to prove what everyone else already knew and off you go...

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiigo Papa Way-a-a-go Now in Southampton and he gotta new home... Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiigo etc. I'll get me coat

I read this as that the work permit has been cleared by to Dept of Employment and just has to be ratified by the Football League which I would imagine is a formaility. Mind you, I'm optimistic, rather than borderline suicidal about my team - there are so many on here who should not go near the Itchen Bridge on a match day.
-
And apparently, one of the muderers spent part of his 'sentence', just up the road from where I lived at the time in Lower Swanwick.
-
Davis 7 - the odd bit of flappery but a class act James 4 - crosses from the half way line and let the guy run for the goal Harding 8 - Solid as you like and a good goal Trotman 6 - Thought he was terrible first half but improved greatly in the 2nd. Perry 7 - Mopped up well as usual Mellis 6 - Thought he looked ok, was he injured ? Hammond 7 - aggressive in the tackle and calm on the ball Schneiderlin 6 - ok but capable of so much better Lallana 4 - Flattered to deceive yet again. Lambert 7 - Won everything int he air and looked a real threat. his free kicks look ****e though Paterson 5 - Tried hard but no presence or composure =========== Thomson 2 - Just dreadful. 90% at fault for the goal against and did nothing going forward. Lightweight and disinterested. Saganowski 6 - Worked hard with no decent service. The best partner for Lambert Rasiak ? - 3 minutes to add to his 1 minute on Tuesday.
-
Boot Rasiak. there is no way he can play with Lambert so get rid. I'd keep Saga. i fear that they thay will both leave on August 31st and we'll be struggling to get a replacement.

Swindon V Saints, first half & half time chat..
L1Minus10 replied to saint lard's topic in The Saints
Lancashire in playing. We will let in at least 3. I'm better than him and I'm 40. -
The new Perry Groves. He's ok but no more. IMO he didn't do much in the games he did play last year. He has a decent touch but no pace at all so he can't beat a man. He also can't tackle or head a ball which is kind of typical for a Saints midfielder. I think he looks like a decent player but when you actually look at it in the cold light of day, he produces very very little. Also, there's the injury record... it appears to be a different injury every time... A midfield of Lallana, Gillett, Schneiderlin and Holmes as has been suggested, would be an unmitigated lightweight disaster...

JP was a ****ing moron. I will post this or something similar on every thread in which he is mentioned.
-
Football is an easy game up to a point. Unless you're a Wenger, Ferguson or Mourinho - you should stick round pegs in round holes, players in their best positions. George either thinks he's clever when he isn't or he does spend the whole time is a p!ssed stupour. He was ****ing useless for us and the Scottish repeat has been soooooo predictable
-
Perry for Lancashire should be the only change. Gillett and Schneiderlin would be too lighweight and besides, Wotton does a good job as long as he keeps it simple.
-
They'll shuffle the deckchairs... Trott will come in for Bopara, bell will bat at 3 and Collingwood will stay at 5. Harmison will probably come out for Flintoff. ... and we won;t score enough runs... again

Stephen Fry's speech at Strauss' dinner at Lord's last week Part 2
L1Minus10 replied to John B's topic in General Sports
Brilliant stuff. Fry is a genius and I agree that his standard it very very high... 'Kingdom' is utter b0ll0ck5 though... -
Utter Utter ****. IMO Bell and Harmison should be banished for good, Bopara and Collingwood ****ed off until they can score some runs in county cricket.... Jimmy Anderson... overrated... if the ball doesn't swing, he goes for 5 an over... He and Onions are too similar to both be playing. Team for the next test... 1 Strauss 2 Cook (just about)... Jimmy Adams anybody ? 3 Trott 4 Most In form County batsman 5 2nd most In form county batsman 6 Prior 7 Flintoff (if fit) 8 Broad 9 Swann 10 Sidebottom 11 Onions or Anderson

I thought he worked very hard but not a lot came off for him. he didn;t get a single decision off the ref all day either. I don;t really believe anyone deserves to be classified as sh!te unless they really don't try and are completely useless. BWP was the benchmark for sh!te.
-
Saga worked his nuts off. Those who say he didn't are talking complete sh!te IMO.
-
It does for us. I couldn't give a flying one about Wigan or Derby. I see your point though.
