Agreed with Chez, it's really a no brainer....keep Chamberlain for as long as we can keep him!

Selling our best young players & replacing them with some decent players to the same value never seemed to work too well in Lowe's era if I recall so why don't we as fans learn from the mistakes of the past and keep our youth for a change?

Or don't sell chamberlain at all and buy some great players as well ?!

Barnard is definately more valuable to the team than many give recognition for. Every time I've seen him play definately raises the tempo of the game (suiting saints) and creates not only space for himself but more importantly OTHERS, players like Lallana and Rickie....who often get all the headlines. The way I see Barnard, is he's a goalscoring version of Brett Omerod a few years ago. GREAT to have in the side & would be in my first 11 every week.

I think people forget Adkins was originally a physio himself before becoming a manager. If anyone is going to be informed about whether to have him in the side, he will.

I think we're forgetting that both Leeds & Norwich were better than us last season, and from what we've seen of them this year they've continued to improve further. It's a big assumption to expect us to immediately get promoted from the Championship as soon as we arrive there. More realistically I expect us once we get there to finish just above mid-table, possibly playoffs if we're fortunate.

Lambert saying OXO is the best young lad he's played with in 10yrs ....not bad.

AOC will be worth 10million in a few years time if not more anyways. But I wouldnt want to see him go even if we did get offered more....NOW is the time to build for the future, lets keep him if at all possible.....and see him potentially become a saints legend as we rise up the leagues with a youthful midfield.

No! What's the point in doing this if we're trying to build a team for the future on the model Cortese has described....I think we should do all we can to keep AOC. 10 Mill is a lot of money....but the damage and the message it sends out to the players at SFC is far more damaging in the long term....it basically says "we'll sell out if we're offered enough" Now if the player chooses to want to leave....then its a different position....but for too long we watch our best young players succeed elsewhere and usually keep their worth or increase....can't we for a change have the forsight to believe in the future & that it'll pay ourselves back by not selling in the medium term.

Cortese for me too. Wow! a fan base that loves their Chairman.....mmm....this is highly irregular.....what kind of fans are we becoming?!

What's becoming clear is the CULTURE Adkins is creating around the football club. Listen to his interviews, listen to the players, listen to the vibes coming out of Southampton FC right now....the sign of a strong and clear leader is their ability to change the culture, Adkins is doing EXACTLY that....and it's great to see. Pardew managed this up to a point, changing the losing mentality which was great....but Adkins has picked up from where Pardew started standing still and this is the reason I believe Cortese saw fit to remove him. He's a chairman that will not accept things standing still and not moving forwards.

This is the FOUNDATIONS being laid for the premiership! This really is brilliant news for Saints and it PROVES that we're really building & determined to keep our best young players for a CHANGE! Whoopp!!!

After much thought I'll go for Skacel ....if he's signed yet? Failing that ....it'll have to be Lallana.
