  1. I suppose his overseeing of two abysmal managerial appointments, squandering £100m+ on ridiculous transfer fees, being relegated, his haughty air and his self-congratulating Gold Mine effect self-loving egotism haven't seen me particularly warm to him. Each to their own though.
  2. He was also incompetent at marking Barkley from set pieces. He was the last man on each occasion who presumably was meant to track Barkley, who was their last man. Three times Barkley was free at the far post. He is ill-suited to our game, but also lacks the basic discipline (at this stage) to play at this level. It's unfathomable that we spent £10m on him. Along with Onuachu, Sulemana, Larios, Bazunu, Alcaraz, Charles (the last 4 may eventually come good, but haven't demonstrated that they will to date) it's close to a £100m sh!tshow of a transfer strategy given none of them are in our first team. TheGoldMineEffect my arse.
  3. Alan McLoughlin and Prutton join the list of disappointing ones. Who was the next most expensive one after Proton? Delgado?
  4. Both shit keepers
  5. I just want a coach who gets the best out of our players, by playing the system which best suits their abilities. The idea of some sort of Championship possession-based ideology Manager is madness and completely unrealistic for players at this level. Andersen Wilcox and. Martin need to stop gazing at themselves in the mirror and get their heads out of their arses.
  6. Very worrying that Martin personally identified him as a key signing in the summer. He’s technically inept.
  7. He has the agility of a dead prostitute.
  8. That one’s on Che. Unbelievably poor CF play for the three chances.
  9. Presumably games missed through injury are omitted from the % appearances trigger for additional payments, which is, of course, convenient for Juve to keep his loan cost down...
  10. I think you underestimate player/agent power, and overestimate the power (and competence) of the governing bodies if you think that will ever happen.
  11. But then a more player-centric Association, without player caps, would be created, and all the top players would join their associated leagues. Players are mercenaries, hence why so many are playing in England for top salaries. You can’t realistically limit their earnings.
  12. Manning’s positional awareness is non-existent
  13. Martin needed to change the shape and personnel earlier. Too passive in the first half, he needed to proactively change it and not wait til h-t.
  14. Rothwell Smallbone Stu terrible dynamic in midfield. Pedestrian, Rothwell turns like a fucking container ship. As for Manning, every time he cuts back they’re all over our CBs denying a pass out. Manning too thick to work it out. Useless.
  15. #shivers remembering that line up#
  16. Bad given fixtures vs top half away to come
  17. Martin not great vs top quarter teams worryingly
  18. Brilliant. It's like satire. I'd love to read his bit of paper.
  19. Rod's right hand is absolutely tiny
  20. 21 year old Hungarian midfielder vaguely linked https://tbrfootball.com/exclusive-southampton-interested-in-21-year-old-international-midfielder-with-huge-potential/
  21. Jesus, Manning….
  22. Bit of young Matty about Dibling, gangly but lovely balance & good feet.
  23. 5-0 Amo-Ameyaw, deflected shot from edge of the box
  24. Dibling with an assist, precise pass after defender slip, having looked a bit isolated at RW. Amo-Ameyaw the main creative outlet at 10, he looks a truly excellent prospect. Really would love to see him getting mins off the bench for us. Meghoma strong, bit basic. Great to have three in the starting line up.
