On the News site, AA, the new CEO abd Storrie are ALL flying to Rome to try to sort out the Beladj and Boateng transfer. Nice bit of cost control there . Perhaps Rooney could be coming the other way, to get over his World Cup horror show. Maybe that's why he is living in a caravan in the Nike advert ?

If you go on form for last season : - James - good game against us, but hardly ever fit. Johnson - disapointing Cole - OK Terry - Terrible after Bridge-Gate Carrigher - Legs have gone, Liverpools Benali Lennon - Great start to the season, but not yet recovered form since injury Gerrard - Terrible season, some of his perfromances would embarrass a park player Lampard - Good 2nd half to season, but can't play with gerrard Barry - Steady season but not fit Heskey - Lucky to get on the bench at Villa Rooney - Great season , but not fit since April Based on that, I am not sure why anyone expected us to do well. The problem is, I can't think of many better alternatives, other than Crouch and J Cole, who should be fresh after only playing about 10 games this year. Jaglelka, Noble, Parker and Adam Johnson perhaps , but that's about it. The future does not look bright. Maybe Ricky Lambert will get the nod for the Euros's ?

I do think that the club has missed a trick here, with the explanation of why they are not offering a payment plan this year. After all of the banking problems the banks would obviously hike up the cost of a payement plan, as it represents a higher risk. I do not mean to offend anyone by that comment, but fundamentally people who save up in a season for next season's ticket represent a far lower risk than people who borrow each year to buy a ticket. Once the club realised that such credit could not be offered at reasonable terms, due to the costs imposed by the banks, they should have notified supporters straight away, so that they could have tried to make alternative arrangements. I fully understand what the club is doing, but the timing and detail of the explaination leave a lot to be desired.

On the other hand Nickh, why would someone who has made his name as the Elliot Ness of the FA go and work for the Al Capone of football ? I can only hope that he sees it as a way to put his ideas into practice. If so, his main aim will be to get the dirty linen out there for all to see.

In the Observer/Guardian atricle it talks of giving an extra £5 Million to the creditors if the Skates get back into the Premiership during the CVA. Given that promotion is currently worth £90 million, that is really taking this p@@s. They could easily pay the creditors in full, and still make a profit. I know that it is very unlikely that they will get back up, but given their luck, you never know.

If I was Brett Omerod, I would be happy with a few run outs next season, if Blackpool decide to beef up their squad, safe in the knowledge that I had scored the most valuable goal in football history. Brett Ormerod, the £90 Mllion man !

Bad news for Salisbury, as a Salisbury boy myself, but maybe the league could learn from this. How about, ALL debts have to be paid to an agreed schedule, to get your golden share back. All to be adminstered by the League ( for an admin fee) and each season you fall behind with you payments you get a penalty or a relegation. That would focus the minds of directors a bit more. I can't help thinking that the Skates should have a budget set by the league each year, and that the vast percentage of any unexpected income, for a cup run or player sale should go to the creditors, on top of the CVA.

Daily Express say that there is ahitch with Grants move to the Hammers, as the Skates are insisting that he takes Ben Haim wit him ( £40,000 grand a week wages). Also says that Grant isa confident that he can take James with him, though strangely for the Express there is no mention of Lady Di.

The fraud squad are looking at Portmouth and other clubs. I won't say any more in case I comprise the person who this information came from. Not a rumour, a fact.

My worry with RLGM is that Pullis has fallen out with Kitson and Beattie, so Stoke will need a new target man. Also, some of the promoted teams might take a punt on him for the Prem, after ther problems that he caused the Skates. Other than that, Burnley are probably the only Chamionship club that could afford him.
-
Fairytale final , more like Robin Hood. although the Skates steal from everyone, not just the taxman. My Aunt is over, and is supporting the Skates, cause she likes David James, it is very hard not to tell her to F off.

On South Today this morning, only 150 ubber fans queing for the 1000 tickets available today. Also, I must say that I like the way that the BBC South studio has been decorated now, with a nice red and white stripped glass background. Must make the blood boil in portsdown.

Agreeing to the CVA proposal is the alternative to liquidation, which would result in the loss of the Parachute payments, without which the creditors would only get a cut of the sale of all remaining assets at FP. Approving the CVA is another thing altogether. Also, as the additional charge by HRMC has been made after they went into admin, is it outside the CVA, like Sol Cambell and so has to be payed up once they come out of admin ?
-
I think that Lee from Palace could be a good shout. Great target man who always seems to be in and out of the team whatever club he is at. Might be interested in dropping down a league, as part of the Palace firesale.
-
One of the conditions that UEFA set is being upto date with your taxes by 31st December. At that time, PFC whre under a winfing up order from HRMC for 17 Miliion. If it was a racehorse, AA's appeal would fall at the first hurdle.
-
The Skates do not need a CVA to continue in the league, just to avoid a points deduction. Despite what AA say's, it is possible for them to use Parachute payments to pay the football debts if they come out of admin without the CVA, and to continue to feild a side, on minus points and probably with a Bournemouth style transfer embargo. I don't buy AA's CVA or bust idea.
-
Davenport - Bullied off the ball costing us the Villa and Everton home games, which would have kept us up. Idiakez,Wright-Phillips, Pele - Bought by Burley instead of keeping better players Oakley, Blackstock and Higg. Waste of transfer cash and wages. Speedie - First real mercenary to come to Saints. Only interested in the money Mark Hughes - Complete cack, more interested in fouling his marker than trapping the ball. Also tried to split the dressing room against Tiss. I still play Football Manager 2000 now and again, just so I can sell him.
-
Blimey, their away support is almost outnumbered by their sub's bench.

morgan !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

AA has already talked of paying off the creditors over a number of years, which looks to me like the Parachute payments are being redirected. So his attempt at a CVA would leave the club to survive on gate receipts alone, while the tax payer loses 70% or upwards of the monies owed to it ( us all) . I think the taxmans best hope is the 'interested parties' vote. Gaydmark, Fahim. Mirage and Chanrai are alll former owners, and so must be interested parties as should any football debts owed to players. Does that leave enough of a percentage of creditors to outvote HRMC ?

The News is posting that Dindane can now play on Sunday as they had 'miscounted' the number of games he could play, and it is in fact 22 instead of 20 before they have to pay Lens the £4 million. Perhaps the inbreeding gives them some problems with the decimal system (The Romans based it on the number of fingers and thumbs of a non portsea resident) or could it be that the extra 2 games are Mr Storries usual 10% cut ?

Viking, as a last resort try resyoring the PC to the last date that Saints Player worked for you. Fixed my mum's broadband that way last week.

If you decide to go west. the coast from Bordeuax to Spain has great beaches, good surfing too. Bordeaux is a great city, and if you want to go further down , San Sebastian just south of the Spanish border has two sheltered beaches and 155 tapas bars, and is much cheeper to eat and drink than in France (We stayed at Pension Belles Artes which comes top of the list on trip advisor) .

If the PL bring in this extra 2 years half payment for the relegated teams, I can see how it could help sell the skates. Assuming, as seems likely that the Skates are allowed to factor/mortgage next years parachute payements (16m) and maybe even the proposed £5m that each championship club will get. That would still leave them with 1 and two half years parachute payments to come ( 16 +8 + , which could be used by a new owner to try to get back to the PL, or it could be used to repay the monies used to by the Skates from the administrator and just kepp them ticking over on gate receipts.
