Brilliant! For me the key is that we have for the first time in many years, a TEAM, not just a bunch of footballers wearing the same shirt. The players have helped supported each other, squad players have come in and covered well when individual form has dipped. The team spirit has been magnificent and for that Nigel Adkins and the coaches deserve the credit. Even so, this would not have been possible but for the shrewd judgement and courage of Nicola Cortese in changing managers at such a crucial stage of the season. And for him - thanks to Markus for his vision and enthusiasm; and to his family for their continuing commitment and belief. In 5 minutes or so, Norwich could seal a second successive promotion with the core of a team that has stayed together for a couple of seasons. We weren't that far away from them in quality last season, so there's good reason to believe we can do the same. It'd be great to do it the same way and in the same place too! And well done Norwich!

Thanks Nicola. Let's see if we can all get him to 'Give us a Wave' on Saturday.

Have to disagree. In fact I'd put it round the other way, as Lallana has been prone to making the odd mistake such as running into defenders instead of making an open pass. Fonte for me.

Everything that doesn't move, i.e. FP and Kanu.

Tsk! French cars, eh?

scores on the doors: Davis: 7 - Easy day, but there when it mattered. Richardson: 6 - Supported Guly well, but several dodgy moments defensively Fonte: 8 - Never troubled, dominated, got forward, scored (MoM) Seaborne: 8 - Immense, put in some crucial tackles, passed well out of defence. Harding: 8 - Great game, never troubled at the back, put in some good crosses. Guly: 8 - Why was he subbed? Great game, great touches - goal wasn't offside Hammond: 7 - Neat and tidy, got forward well Stephens: 7 - Impressive, tackled well, some great passes to Guly and Connolly Lallana: 7 - Business as usual, but sometimes tries to win it all by himself Connolly: 7 - Ran his socks off, linked up well Lambert: 6 - Gonna be controversial! Made/took pen well, assist for second goal, but looked tired and generally second to the ball for most of the match Subs: Forte: 6 - Competent, not much chance to shine Chaplow: 5 - Looked lost when he came on, caught in possession too many times. Silly fouls given away in dangerous positions. Martin: 7 - Slotted in well, not really under much pressure though

Anyway don't we want them to beat Udders?

Hmmm, let's wait for his end-of-season speech to the fans. If it's "Gratest Fans "/"Place in My Heart"/"Never Break Our Spirit" and similar b0ll0cks... he's off to West Ham.

No apologies for bumping my own thread with this brilliant picture of two of the front runners: Passion, determination and team spirit personified imo.

I've already been and persuaded Rupert it'd be a good idea to get 'Arry n Jim on board. Seemed like a good idea at the time...
-
If he's reading this, could Jordan Sibley get them put on the official website against each player profile?

Don't be perverse. The thread's about food.

The entire menu of Pizza Hut (with extra bacon bits and blue cheese dressing). :-))

Indeed. If the major parties had First-Past-The-Post in electing their own leaders, then Davies would be Prime Minister and Labour would be led by the other Milliband. (courtesy of Stephen Fry)

Tighter F&PPT rules = Fatter Brown Envelopes (allegedly of course...)

That's why I don't bet...

Thanks a lot Swanny, I'll give him a call in the week.

Missed it! Thank god for iPlayer...

Another win for Vettel and second for Button again. Alonso for third.

Thanks Hammy, the Envy crew at Segensworth aren't too far away from me. Swanny's latest contact could be useful, being recommended by Merc guys (I've got an old SLK). BTW there's a good wheel refurbisher over there if you need one.
-
Swanny, Hamster said to look on here for your recommendations. Need to get some leather repaired and interior work, but would also be interested in detailing as I'm looking to move my oldish Merc on soon. Sounds like your local guy could be the man.

His glass was too bl00dy big in the first place.
