  1. Where are the asterisks?
  2. Just seen Pulis' shocking tackle on FLS - potential legbreaker. Claridge's comment? "...showing a little bit of inexperience." No **** Sherlock...
  3. Heartstone by C J Sansom. Fifth book in the Shardlake series - each book better than the last. Series is about a hunchback lawyer in the turbulent later years of Henry VIII's reign. Latest book set in Hampshire and West Sussex. Very atmospheric description of P****muff - "...an overwhelming smell of ordure..."
  4. I love veggie food. I also love steaks, chicken, lamb and fish. I'm an omnivore, like humans are supposed to be. What I don't like is the 'lips-and-ar$eholes', fat-and-hormone-laden **** that is churned out of some northern food 'factory' and masquerades as 'meat'. Fair play to the guy.
  5. Lino with a clear view didn't give handball but ref did from the other side of a crowded area? Homer with another Ferguson brown envelope...
  6. Borough are all arms, Harding elbowed in the back of the neck just before the goal. Mickail Smith hugging anyone in reach. See how they like playing against the 'slight' wind.
  7. Exeter. Awful.
  8. Yeah - my office burned down fourteen years ago from something similar. It was a Sunday.
  9. Dog, I can't see any cables other than the neutral (blue). Have they been clipped off? It looks like they were miniature circuit breakers, or was it fuses? difficult to tell as its so badly melted. What I meant about loose terminals is where the individual circuit cable connects into the breaker or fuseway. Possibly the third from the left, as it seems to be the most burnt. Whatever - a hell of a mess. Lucky you were in at the time or you would have had a serious fire.
  10. Trousers, not sure where you are, but VM do have a very good tv view-on-demand package - cable only though. Actually that first bit sounds a bit odd...
  11. My guess is a loose terminal on one of the breakers, can become loose over time. HEADS UP FOLKS: Check your screws are tight every year or two - with the power off, of course!
  12. Burnt out consumer unit. Does that say OFF Peak?
  13. 20MB fine in Hedge End. Connections over wi-fi can be a problem sometimes, but cable connections are rock-solid.
  14. Hugely proud that we matched them for 60 minutes. Giggs and Atkinson turned the game for them second half. Why do we have to play against 12? Morgan and Butters MoMs for me.
  15. Clearly Atkinson was satisfied with the contents of the half-time brown envelope. Exactly how much are the reputations of an ex-england gambler, bacon-faced jock and bunch of wannabe Ronaldos worth?
  16. What I don't get with the super-obese stories is that there must have come a point at which they became immobile. You know the ones - been in bed for three years or whatever. Why do they not seek help at that time? Surely they must realise that 12-egg breakfasts and three-pizza snacks aren't normal? Don't their friends and family realise the problems, even if the person involved doesn't? The country as a whole needs to get a handle on this problem fast. Few people realise the enormous and totally disproportionate amounts of NHS money that is being spent to deal with a relatively small percentage of patients.
  17. Ridley Scott's first film "The Duellists" - Keith Carradine's voiceover of the final scene, with a despondent Harvey Keitel looking out over the river valley. Beautiful photography too.
  18. Typical Merson. Just as we're getting on the bus, he's falling off the wagon.
  19. CAPTAIN Pugwash, if you please!
  20. The latest gen Asus Eee PCs are good. Also worth considering the new Android tablets coming onto the market, if you want a more 'graphical' experience and don't want to go down the iPad route.
  21. Isn't HMS Illustrious still in commission or have I missed something?
  22. Nope. Star Trek TNG.
  23. Notice Hreidarsson hasn't been registered yet either...
  24. Very good article, read the comments as well. Nutshell.
