    Boruc

Boruc is one of the best in the league.. be careful what you wish for.. we could end up with another who does not command the penalty box which is key to the way we play.
  2. MPs tactics are similar to those of Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. We don't have the same calibre of player as yet but I would not say those teams are weak.. the energy expended by these teams is similar as being ultra fit is a pre-requisite to making the pressing system function successfully. Our possession stats don't support your theory either.
  3. I think it was a Red card; but Flores should be banned on review - this play acting needs to be stamped out. As for Carroll, over-rated in my opinion but I guess without Lovren available its good news.
  4. Absolutely.. France are very strong in midfield but even so he deserves a squad place..
  5. Another sad muppet..
  6. I do wonder whether you are a supporter... Cortese's vision was not 'pie in the sky', it was an objective plan which could have become reality in time. I wonder if Everton fans think like you do; all negativity. They may well be in the Champions League next year; and they have certainly not been bankrolled.
  7. The problem you have is you only see one way of playing a lone striker... which probably indicates you have never played football at any decent level. lambert and Gallagher can both play the role but in different ways; and we get results with both options. Osvaldo did nothing as a lone striker so 'closing down the defence' was not in his repertoire.
  8. lallana and lambert to go.. our other candidates are either not quite good enough (Rodriquez/Cork) or not quite ready (Shaw/Clyne/Chambers)
  9. Absolute class act... vision, passing and a goal scoring machine all in one... may still get to Brazil.. who knows
  10. This...can't the Mods do something about a non-Saints supporter coming out with this iterative nonsense.. perhaps better off supporting Spurs then there are about 8 signings he can be critical of.
  11. Not sure what Batman and Robin expect from the January window when we all know our emphasis is on bringing in the Youth from our Academy. Then the fact that we are safe from any Relegation worries and do not want to spend OTT transfer fees. The state of our form was highlighted on Tuesday night when we outplayed Arsenal in the 1st half without Lovren, Wanyama, Lambert, Osvaldo and Ramirez.. I see your point.
  12. Chambers is more comfortable on the ball than Clyne.. but both are special RBs so MP has a difficult decision going forwards
  13. The ref had a very good game.. let the game flow and was neutral throughout.. take your red/white tinted glasses off
  14. A class act... just need to find a way to play both he and Clyne
  15. One does not have to be his No 1 fan to realise we have no-one as yet who can replace him, even though his form has dipped of late. If Gallagher steps up then we certainly have more options, but we cannot replace Lambert until we sign a player who can hold the ball up and distribute to his standard; plus score goals of course.
  16. I think you are the one trying to compare Gallagher with Lambert.. which is truly farcical; he's barely been on the pitch.. Lambert is an International class striker... you do post some rubbish.
  17. We will take them apart if we put out a full strength team..
  18. Man City at home then we can get rid of them before a Neutral ground round...
  19. Absolutely... JRod is clueless as a lone striker.. and we don't hoof the ball to Lambert, he controls the ball perfectly wherever you give it to him. Unless he's injured he has to play.. otherwise why not give Gallagher a run up there.
  20. Does Banega score goals ?.. cos that list of players we have don't
  21. No... worth about 12M at the mo... 20M bought Negredo who is a level above.
  22. You certainly have the right nickname, but at least don't make things up.. or better still put IMO on the end as at least then the majority don't take it as gospel
  23. An absolute fortune..
  24. WHY oh WHY do you start these types of thread... you will get the same response from morons who think he's finished.. and who have probably have never kicked a football in their lives. I watched the 1st half and he played very well... perhaps second half he disappeared.. I doubt it but Sunderland had to play better as they were woeful. Its clear that he plays a different role under MP than he would probably choose, but he's still more creative than any other offensive player. Osvaldo, who some posters think is the answer to everything, has yet to justify a starting position as a lone striker; and Rodrigues is totally lost in that position.
  25. No, yuo are not alone... the majority of balanced fans would be delighted to watch our Premier league campaign unfold whereever we finish; and its not as if we are stagnating in mid league for years is it.
