  1. I was listening to Talksport earlier and it appears that Adrian Durham is trying to get in on the act by asking Orient fans to phone in if they heard Barney swearing. It would be a big bonus for his Posh team to have Barney out for our run in. He did grudgingly mutter the words that Southampton will be in the second automatic place though. I turned off so do not know if his request gained any momentum.
  2. I have S30 SFC which I took off my Bike and have to decide whether to put it back on the replacement or on the car. I did try to sell it on here once but as I was inundated with the Capitalist Police (I dared to sell it at a profit) I gave up. I actually find Deppo quite amusing but then have yet to have him make a comment which upsets me.
  3. Come on Nigel I thought you were going to play a couple of reserves and give it to us. My fans have gone all quiet now I'll have to bring on Giggsy and Nanny (old and keeps falling over) and activate the ref effect !
  4. http://www.newsnow.co.uk/A/464705925?-11205 Just seen on Newsnow (link to Skysports) that we and Millwall are in for Cardogan at Crystal Palace. He looks like a good bet is described as a midfielder who can cover down either flank.
  5. Yes that was a bit tongue in cheek
  6. Bought my tickets this afternoon disappointed that only 7000 sold so far according to the ticket office. My season ticket is in the Kingsland at the Northam end so will be interesting to sit in the opposite corner and see the atmosphere in the Chapel tommorrow.
  7. Foreign Manager - Rolf Fringer Wow Factor Manager - Martin O'Neill English Manager - Nigel Adkins
  8. Cup win 76 - Couldn't get a ticket so watched it at home with family and my first child aged 3 months (she was wearing a very small red and white knitted scarf). As Bobby scored we all screamed and frightened her half to death. Did go out in Southampton that night and for the bus tour next day and can still remember the great atmosphere Keegan signed - I remember seeing it as I was doing my paper round. It was in the Echo which used to have a space for "Stop Press" at the bottom of the back page. It said Kevin Keegan signs for Saints. I got home as my dad came in from work and I said that I was surprised we would sign the Norwich goalkeeper as he was too old (He was called Kevin Keelan) I could not believe we would make a signing like KK but was elated when we turned on the TV and saw it. Saints put the sixth past Man Utd - Listening on the radio and going mad. Marcus passes away - Sadly about to travel to Canada got a phone call from my mum as I was staring at a text from a very sad poopey colleague asking "who's your owner now" . Unfortunately here for 3 weeks so miss the Orient game but will be thinking about everyone especially on Saturday. Thanks for the pictures of the tributes and just wish I was there. Special moments -MLT testimonial he was superb in goal! I am sure it was this game where Ian Wright fell over in the penalty area when the ball was miles away and got a penalty, real comedy stuff and a great night. FA Cup final at Cardiff real pride as we won the singing and were by far the best supporters. At JPT Final great atmosphere (even took the wife! However she will not be at another match as she was the reason Carlisle scored having just said "it would be nice for the other team to score as they have been trying very hard". Thanks for some great memories at a very sad time.
  9. R.I.P. Marcus thanks for everything and saving the Saints, I hope your watching as we achieve your dream !
  10. I renewed my parking in car park B this afternoon (father is in his 80's and disabled so he cannot walk very far) and I spoke to a very pleasant young lady who told me that the rise in parking prices was due to the club running at a loss last year and the new prices were a break even figure. I used the operations number 02380 711 966 and although disappointed with the cost and lack of information I can see the point in the hike if she was correct and it is to cover costs. I am now waiting to see what they do for motorcyclists which is my other option when I only have to take one of the children, apparently this info will be out in the next week or so.
  11. As I still blame him solely for our relegation from the premiership (due to all those inept performances) I would rather get Lancashire back. That's a bit harsh but he was useless and why do we need him ? I still have faith in NC and am sure we have already got the deals done and will announce them on block when he is ready.
  12. I have listened again as I first heard it when I was leaving St Marys and I dont think he was rude. He said he brought Lloyd James on to move the ball in midfield and then what he didn't want to say was that James did not do the job he was asked to do so he brought him off. Well done AP for protecting the team and also not saying what all the spectators at the game wanted to say about the referee. I dont think spiderman can be too proud of himself because that was his job to move the ball in midfield and he was sorely missed.
  13. They must be waiting to see which league we are in? Gives us more time to save for Championship prices !!
  14. Got mine today so have stopped panicking, bit higher than I thought they would be but at least we will be there. Fingers crossed for everyone else. COYR
  15. I received the following reply yesterday, the 19th, to a query about my tickets not arriving "I have looked at your order and can see that you have 7 Adults at £34.00 and 4 Juniors at £17.00. The last batch of posted is being despatched today, if you have not received it by Wednesday let me know and I can arrange for duplicate tickets to be collected from Wembley". I'm sure they will arrive but could be fun on the day if my originals fall into the wrong hands.
  16. A relative of mine is a small sub contractor at the club and thought he had lost his money (around £400) after admin. He was very surprised sometime after the takeover to receive his money in full. There is a lot of honour in the new regime which should be applauded. COYR
  17. Showing my age as a young boy I recall seeing Dennis Hollywood an uncompromising left back. I have a vague recollection that he took out Mike Summerbee who he had been kicking around all game, Summerbee had had enough, lost it and ended up getting sent off. From childhood memories Hollywood made Mark Dennis seem like a pussycat.
  18. My dad first took me to watch Saints when I was five, he's now 81 and I take him. He actually "retired as a season ticket holder" when we left the dell but renewed at the beginning of this season. We now have 3 generations as my son and daughter are season ticket holders as well.
  19. The first one was near me and saggers went down about a minute too late so I would have been outraged if the decision had gone against us. Like most people I did not see the second. I thought the ref was of the usual poor standard and could not see why he was throwing cards around for except that he was low down the league of card givers so was probably getting his quota up. Thank goodness for a win now lets kick on! COYR
  20. Officially you need a permit and sometimes they are asked for but they are free and easy to get hold of. If you ring the club they will send one out
  21. Yes I bought 3 when they first come out and RL was gone, just got another for my 81 yr old father who is coming back after a few years away. Thought I'd pay him back for taking me to my first game at 4 years old and making me a lifelong supporter ! Looking forward to a good season with a good set up, onwards and upwards COYR !
  22. I find it is the same every game lots of people leave with ten minutes or so to go so they can beat the traffic, I expect some of them still think we are in the championship as they never see the last minute goals. Win or lose I will always stay till the end as you never know what will happen with the Saints !
  23. My £5 is in couldn't spare any more as just bought 3 season tickets this afternoon. Now have to break it gently to the wife that I bought two kids ones so they dont have to share. It was just too tempting. COYR
  24. I only hope you are right about WGS he would be ideal. I like the decisiveness of the new team and hope posters give them the chance before the criticism start COYR
  25. Has Kelvin signed for West Ham yet or is he waiting for this takeover
