He wasn't that bad. He was playing against Berbatov and Rooney at one stage. He doesn't have a lot of pace and does give the ball away at the wrong moment. But he could have done a lot worse!
-
10 against 11 of the best players in England and we only lost 3-0? I expect by 75-80 mins of chasing shadows most of the lads were shattered. Too tired to be chasing every ball. They had to economise. I think toward the end we looked ok.
-
Don't think we did that badly. 10 men against United was always going to be a difficult task. Davis and Perry were outstanding; especially important since we've only for 2 centre backs left. McKlaggon looked great too- fast, good control... if only the rest of the team could keep up with him/moved for him! So 3 positives at least.
-
Well, today could be the day? Patterson to score!
-
Patterson isn't that bad for crying out loud. He has potential to be a good player for us and can score goals. It'll be hard work up front but either way it'll be a learning experience for him I am sure.
-
Just another game, isn't it?
-
Sounds good. He may be 35 but as long as he is fit not injury prone.
-
The prospect of a Perry Lancashire partnership at the back petrifies me.
-
Michael Wilde just scored for The New Saints FC. Just for novelty value
-
Good luck to the lad. Hope he gets a regular game there.
-
Next let down will be either Lalanna, Surman or Davis heading offski right at the last minute before the window closes giving us no time to purchase a replacement. The money in the region of £2-3m will be "earmarked" for the summer, we'll be building a team to try and stay in League 1. But by the summer, it'll have mysteriously evaporated... So basically, the same as we've been putting up with the last few years
-
At least Smith can run with the ball. When i've seen him his dribbling has been much better than anyone else at the club.
-
Indeed. Looks like were trying to find him another club. I hope that we fail though and we get him back.. we bloody need him.
-
I don't think there is anything wrong with that article. Clearly we are looking for a decent replacement for Cork, it was out of our hands. Plus he is looking for a goalscorer. The problem will be, we don't have the money to get them most likely. At least he knows what we need (though no mention of a right back:P) But if we get a decent defender who is as good as Cork in- we'll have a stronger squad than we had a week ago with the addition of Saganowski up front replacing the ****e Pekhart and Robertson. I am certain Saga is better than those two put together!
-
So against United it'll be Lancashire and Perry? Or perhaps another one of the youth team centre backs? Who knows.
-
heh, sorry lungs. Not like me to be so pessimstic... guess i've just hit a low
-
Our already fragile defence is slowly being picked off. At least we can be sure of relegation rather than spent till May hoping we might stay up.
-
My Millwall supporting mate assures me that Ryan Smith has quality but he also has attitude. He doesn't work hard enough so the fans turned against him a bit. He feels he is better than he actually is. Still, its only 6 months..
-
I am sure both will look great in League 1 next year. We are obviously preparing for that now.
-
Chez, I like the optimism. But I imagine we'll end up with 18 year old's Joe Bloggs from Wolverhampton Reserves and John Smith from Wycombe Wanderers reserves. Bostock is a rising star, Lita will surely go somewhere else for reasonable money.
-
A new manager might at least try some different tactics to get the best out of his players, rather than playing the same ****e formation week in week out. One up front with no threat on the opposition goal. He might even keep a steady backline and stop chopping and changing week in week out? Why the F**K is Pearce not starting, for example?
-
The manager hasn't changed anything for a long long time. He persists in playing the same tactics game after game only changing faces, but its the same formation and same level of motivation each time. Time for a change. But there is simply no way Lowe will back down and admit a mistake. If he does make a change then I imagine he will just shuffle the pack and appoint Wotte, Gorre or Hockaday head coach. We can only hope we go so low down in the leagues that he leaves or gets brought out when we are worth less than 50p.
-
That is four league defeats on the trot, no win for seven games. Can't see us getting anything against Reading. Unless the manager changes his tactics and starts making the most of the players we've got... nothing will change. Even if he does, it might already be too late. Good job Forest lost.
-
Playing 2 up front might work better. We might pose more of a threat and take some pressure off the defence?
-
Ah well. Luck is against us I suppose. Plus we aren't up to the job. Relegation gets closer .. unless we fight back? But who is gonna score? *sighs*
