If you change at Basingstoke, both SWR and GWR run trains to Reading and there are about 10 an hour to Paddington!! I don't think they are that much slower and won't have that strange smell Cross Country trains have!! I am not sure how viable it is but you can go via Salisbury - Reading - Paddington

100%, they signed a class 33yo in Xhaka that will set the standards and the culture of the club, also adding improvements in most areas.
