Well. We would be 20th without the -10 and only 3 points away from the top half of the table. We really have to stick with it. All this sack AP b****ks just highlights how negative we are as a fan base. If we are in the same position by Christmas then yes I would be saying the same as others.
-
If you check out the League Tables from Division 1 over the last two seasons and work out where we would need to be without the -10 to avoid relegation then you would find that the 13th and 14th would be enough to keep us there. Not an onerous task in my opinion. Anywhere in the top half and we are way clear. Look at the stats. and you might take a more positive view of our chances.

But only 16 points from the Playoffs.

I am dissappointed given the degree of loyalty MW showed recently. I think he's been badly treated and I wish him good luck..

RL is the one who blocked the SISU takeover and put us in to this state. Do me a favour.

Take a look at this comment from a Pompey fan. It made me smile and goes to show that many Pompey fans want us to survive. A great idea about having a friendly with Pompey at St. Marys to raise cash. What a nice chap.. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A53923331

I thnk you'll find that buying a majority shareholding in an already functioning football club and dealing with administration which involves taking over the stadium mortgage and all the other debt that goes with it is a slightly different scenario I would say.

The fact that the FL have called an emergency meeting is a positive one in my view. If you think about it, they probably meet on set days in the month. My guess is that it is normal procedure to call an emergency meeting to discuss specific cases and that is the "Emergency" here. They will know our situation and are actively pursuing a resolution. Just my thoughts. -
If the Pinnacle takeover was in jeopardy I believe we would have heard from many sources by now.
-
Taking another perspective. If you were to buy say Newcastle ay £100 Million with all the challenges that entails then I would say you are less likley to make a profit than if you bought SFC for say £15 Million and built it from a low base. If we did get in to the Premiership in 5 years that would be a good investment in my view.

So when Saints are playing midweek games next season we can have Orange Tuesdays. 2 for the price of 1. -
Marc Jackson consortium has moved to due diligence.

I agree with this sentiment. We don't have a Paul Allen waiting in the wings. We should take what we can and rebuild from the bottom up and maybe when the recession ends and we are still a viable football club someone stinking rich will come in then and buy us. -
That's unnecessary and offensive. I am not saying he is great but give him some credit for not doing a runner when that could have been an easy option.

If the value of £14 represents the assets that the Football Club control such as the players, Stadium etc. then to me that makes sense.. Let's not forget that the players will have values assigned to them that could be recovered in Transfers should they leave. If you take Llalan, Surman, Dyer etc. Between them they are probably worth 2-3 million, maybe more..

I,ve already said that if Leon Crouch has been propping up the club, which BTW is not in administration, he would want to be sure he gets his money back and so I would say that he must feel confident that a deal will get done otherwise why throw money at a lost cause..
-
Doubt is not a pleasant condition, but certainty is absurd. Voltaire
-
The positive about Crouch's actions is that it is unlikely he would fund the players' wages if he did not believe a deal would be done otherwise he is at the bottom of the list when and if the time comes to satisfy the creditors.
-
Maybe Fry is saying this to encourage other potential bidders waiting in the wings to come forward. Who knows!!
-
Let's not forget the past when many of the inhibitors regarding takeover were caused by not being able just to takeover the club. This is in fact an opportunity to decouple the club from the holding company which I think could be good news.
-
The Good (Fry), The Bad (Crouch) and the Ugly (Lowe)
-
Mr Fry has always been cautious in his public statements so as not to raise expectations so I would also see this as a positive step.

I keep reading about deadlines etc. and decided to research the rules regarding Administration and it is clear that you can be in administration for a period of time as long as you are in the process of formulating a plan that involves: 1. Rescuing a company as a going concern, or 2. Achieving a better result for the company's creditors as a whole than would be likely if the company were wound up (without first being in administration), or 3. Realising property in order to make a distribution to one or more secured or preferential creditors. It also stated you could be in this state for up to 12 months assuming the administration process is active. Clearly, in our case we will need a quick fix as we will need to pay people again very soon.

Come off it! Just because some people are not as vocal as others does not make them any less passionate or committed.

Lowe & Richards in board room on Sunday at Forest....Confirmed by Club

I don't think people realise that if we fold we'll be lucky to be in Hampshire League Division 10 as AFC Southampton. Anything is better than that. First game of the season, Boys Brigade West. -
I hope and think that whoever it is that is going through the process of bidding will be taking a strategic view of this club and not being influenced by recent events. Anyone in their right minds will be thinking about transforming the club not maintaining it.
