Brushmakers Arms at Upham is very good.

Does anyone know if any pubs in Southampton are showing the game today? Used to go to the Station in Bitterne but they seemed to have stopped showing them.

Can't disagree with any of that FF -
Yep, wouldn't recommend climbing Everest at the moment.

Who is this Paula Ratcliffe you speak of - never heard of her? Paula Radcliffe however is the current Women's world record marathon holder and one of Britains greatest ever athletes. If you think that's easy and not worthy of praise then why not give it a go? I guess you and Whitey Grandad will be first to sign up for next years Southampton Half ;-)

Did 1:50 which beat my previous pb by 4 mins so well chuffed. Support around the course was great especially through Riverside Park. Course was much tougher than I expected (even though familiar with the route) and the Ocean Village bottle neck was a pain. Confident the organisers will sort out any minor wrinkles next year and can see this becoming a top class race in the future.

Yep same here (not quite 50 yet but getting close.....) -
That's a great time, an hour and 45 min quicker than my one and only marathon!

Don't think I've heard so much moaning before from our so called fans in one of our best seasons ever. Bizarre.

Atrocious? We really weren't mate, were you even at the game?

Agreed. If anything it was getting more popular.

I've flown many times but have been lucky not to experience any really bad turbulence. Not really worried about the flight but can't help get a bit of the jitters bearing in mind the timing and location of this crash. We are off to Les Gets which is around an hour's drive from Geneva. Haven't skied for nearly 20 years so hoping it's a bit like riding a bike in that once you've learnt you never really forget how to do it......

Holy s**t I'm flying to Geneva Friday morning for a long weekend skiing in the Alps

Of course grown men don't believe his sh*t; it's all about a bit of a escapism on a sunday night before going back to work the next day. He may be a tw*t (in your eyes) but he's a very popular tw*t that's why it's so difficult to get tickets to see the show. If you don't like him don't watch the show the same way I avoid any programme that involves the odious Russell Brand.
-
Really? Do you actually think he believes a lot of what he says? He is controversial but deliberately so and the BBC have lapped this up for years because he brings in big money. Unfortunately it was only a matter of time before the hard lefties at the beeb put a stop to it. The old Top Gear failed because it was boring; the current format is a major hit around the world and will continue to be so with or without the BBC; I'm sure Clarkson will still be involved though.

Saints 1 Palace 0 - Post Match Nerve Reconstruction
HedgeEnder replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
Agreed. We were far from perfect and frustrating at times but were nowhere near as bad as some suggest on here. Just watch the highlights currently being shown on Sky. We are far the better team just short on confidence, it's a fine line between success and failure at this level.
