  1. My mate has MND, a terminal condition, and probably has months to live, he needs other people to dress, feed, and empty his colostomy bag, as he has lost all movement in his body, from his neck down and slurs when he talks. He worked all of his life & was doing OU degree when he was diagnosed. He is on incapacity benefit, as he has been unable to work for about 3-4 years. Perhaps you could pm me so I can pass on his address, that way you can pay a vist & explain to his wife & kids why their father is a bone idle slob.
  2. Bloody hell, I feel quite shocked by this. Rip
  3. Yet another example of Stanley/Dunce living in the past. Rhodesia hasn't existed since 1979. Infact it was the government led by his favourite post 1945 fascist leader who signed the agreement for the name change to Zimbabwe.
  4. Like you give a toss about African poverty. You don't care less about poverty in this country, so don't pretend that you have an ounce of compassion for black guys thousands of miles away.
  5. If I remember my highway code correctly (I may be wrong, I haven't seen one for 25 years ), but I think this is technically illegal. I believe headlight flashing is equivalent to sounding your horn ie. it should only be used to let others know that you are there. Having said that, I’ve flashed police cars before to let them through without being thrown into the clink, so I may be wrong.
  6. Anti fraud laws don't stop muggings, rapists, murderers, speeding drink/drug driving etc etc etc. Should they be repealed?
  7. Bloody hell that's accurate, 3years & 73 days.
  8. My eldest sons first match was the 1st game at St Marys against Espanyol when he was 4 years old. After the initial interest waned I kept his spirits up with sweets & fizzy pop. I don't think he slept for 2 days after that. He started going to occasional games during the 2002/2003 season, including the FA Cup final, which incidentally was the first match he saw saints lose, we had tears. He's been a sesaon ticket holder since.
  9. Mick Karn of Japan is another one who's shuffled of the mortal coil today. Rip
  10. I don't mind fans from other clubs occasionally posting here, it makes things interesting, and it's good to get other fans views on matches and attitudes. But these fans should be restricted to threads relevant to their own teams, or kept off the main board, the Pompey boys manage to keep to the Pompey thread. Simster seems a decent sort, making pertinent comments regarding the team he supports. BHA is a troll, who clearly has no interest in the team he purported to support. I think it's time the mods politely asked him to move along. If BHA would like to start a thread entitled “Why does everyone hate Man Ure” in the General Sports section, I’m sure he will get the attention he craves.
  11. Such a shame, a talented guy who had many health problems, so a premature death was always on the cards. Rip fella
  12. You've just described my Mrs.
  13. What are the Toon Army doing in the far east anyway? I thought the 39th game idea was strangled at birth. :D
  14. Captain Flack I believe he was known as. I'm looking forward to the Fire Brigade band at half time, it'll beat the hell out of the Albion or Saints Marching Jazz Band. Anyone under the age of about 40 must be wondering what the hell this thread is all about!
  15. Who Pugh?
  16. I know you're trolling, but you really are a pr1ck of the highest order. You seem to be enjoying the fact that people (people with families, mortgages etc, not numbers on an accountants balance sheet) will be forced out of work. So your taxes won't be keeping them in jobs, instead they will be paying their benefits. I really hope that one day you lose you job, then you will possibly realise what a spiteful little ***t you are. I realise I've bitten, and feel ashamed that I've risen to your bait, but you really are a gobsh!te
  17. Spot on. I'm guessing most of those critising KD have never had the balls to actually do the job themselves, as you implied, it's a thankless task. We all make mistakes, fortunately KD has made very few in the last few years, we are lucky to have him. If he stays in his box nobheads on here will moan than he isn't dominant enough, if he make row Z, samer nobheads will say he should have put it up the wing, or into space (ie gaps on the pitch, not the cosmos). As for the 2nd goal, there were 2 defender directly in front of him who should have dealt with it. Get off the blokes back, and count you blessings he isn't bench warming at the Hammers.
  18. I used to work with a bloke who attracted a lot of static. The ba***** would take his shoes off, pick up the metal tea tray, build up a charge, then creep up on me & touch my earlobe with the tray.
  19. I think my parents went to this gig. Mum was/is a massive Orbison fan. They saw the Big O, then let Beatles play a few ditties before walking out.
  20. At the time I didn't know who he was. As a callow 13 year old I just knew he'd had a couple of songs in the charts not long prior to his death. I had know idea he was in the Beatles, I only knew of Paul Mccartney. Lennon would have been 70 this year, it is also 40 years since the Beatles split.
  21. There's a lot of it going round. A good friend of mine put up with a headache for a few days, eventually going to his GP. Doc called an ambulance for him because he thought he had a brain tumour. He died 8 days later, having never regained conciousness, at the ripe old age of 32.
  22. We all need to make a living
  23. Go to a structural engineer, not a builder (even for a simple beam). A builder won't have the qualifications or know how to produce calculations to satisfy building control. They will look at a job and say "yeah you can probably get away with a .....". A structural engineer will have knowledge of safety factors, buckling, slenderness, wind loadings, snow loading, live loads etc etc and will be able to economically design a structure that will satisfy building control. PM me if you want a structural Engineer.
  24. How did we come to lose 1-0 at Hartlepool? From all accounts Morgan had a cracking match, and single-handedly beat them from the reports on here: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?26815-Schneiderlin-today...
