What are the Toon Army doing in the far east anyway? I thought the 39th game idea was strangled at birth. :D

Captain Flack I believe he was known as. I'm looking forward to the Fire Brigade band at half time, it'll beat the hell out of the Albion or Saints Marching Jazz Band. Anyone under the age of about 40 must be wondering what the hell this thread is all about!

I know you're trolling, but you really are a pr1ck of the highest order. You seem to be enjoying the fact that people (people with families, mortgages etc, not numbers on an accountants balance sheet) will be forced out of work. So your taxes won't be keeping them in jobs, instead they will be paying their benefits. I really hope that one day you lose you job, then you will possibly realise what a spiteful little ***t you are. I realise I've bitten, and feel ashamed that I've risen to your bait, but you really are a gobsh!te

Spot on. I'm guessing most of those critising KD have never had the balls to actually do the job themselves, as you implied, it's a thankless task. We all make mistakes, fortunately KD has made very few in the last few years, we are lucky to have him. If he stays in his box nobheads on here will moan than he isn't dominant enough, if he make row Z, samer nobheads will say he should have put it up the wing, or into space (ie gaps on the pitch, not the cosmos). As for the 2nd goal, there were 2 defender directly in front of him who should have dealt with it. Get off the blokes back, and count you blessings he isn't bench warming at the Hammers.

I used to work with a bloke who attracted a lot of static. The ba***** would take his shoes off, pick up the metal tea tray, build up a charge, then creep up on me & touch my earlobe with the tray.

I think my parents went to this gig. Mum was/is a massive Orbison fan. They saw the Big O, then let Beatles play a few ditties before walking out.

At the time I didn't know who he was. As a callow 13 year old I just knew he'd had a couple of songs in the charts not long prior to his death. I had know idea he was in the Beatles, I only knew of Paul Mccartney. Lennon would have been 70 this year, it is also 40 years since the Beatles split.

There's a lot of it going round. A good friend of mine put up with a headache for a few days, eventually going to his GP. Doc called an ambulance for him because he thought he had a brain tumour. He died 8 days later, having never regained conciousness, at the ripe old age of 32.

Go to a structural engineer, not a builder (even for a simple beam). A builder won't have the qualifications or know how to produce calculations to satisfy building control. They will look at a job and say "yeah you can probably get away with a .....". A structural engineer will have knowledge of safety factors, buckling, slenderness, wind loadings, snow loading, live loads etc etc and will be able to economically design a structure that will satisfy building control. PM me if you want a structural Engineer.

How did we come to lose 1-0 at Hartlepool? From all accounts Morgan had a cracking match, and single-handedly beat them from the reports on here: http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?26815-Schneiderlin-today...

They've missed one. My house was bombed during the war, I have the re-build drawings in with my mortgage stuff. Sadly we're not shown on the map.

I agree. It looked to me that this was the cause of his injury. From where I was sat (in the Chapel) you saw him start to go out to collect the ball, then stop, then start again. By then Fonte & the striker were almost on top of him and the striker pushed Fonte into Bart. Had he not stuttered he would have collected the ball relatively comfortably. His kicking was not great either, on a couple of occasions they went to nobody, or 'flat' & one barely made the centre circle. I like Bart, but he is still "Work in Progress", I don't think Kelvin has too much to worry about.....yet.

Thanks Is that all, what a lightweight , with the amount of medics on the pitch I thought ball had hit him in the face & he'd been knocked out.

I can’t believe that after such a good performance people still come on here with negative comments. As I saw it, we played the league leaders off the park in the first half, completely dominating the game, and should have gone in with a lead. The second half was more even, and thanks to Super Kelv we didn’t concede. I came away from the game disappointed that we didn’t win, but excited by what I saw, having watched an exciting game of footy. If Brighton are the best team in the league, as their league position would indicate, then we have nothing to worry about. I thought Hammond had one of his best games for a while, he looked sharp and in control. I assume that Morgan ‘took one for the team’, serving his suspension for the cup game, I hope Chappers will be fit. Does anyone know how their player is? He looked in a bad way when he left the pitch. Question: Why was a free/goal kick awarded after the penalty save. It looked from where I was that Kelvin pushed it for a corner?

Really? B*******. I was so confident too! Egg on face moment

Correct. You can have the 2nd star to the left of the moon. It was indeed Mark Blake. I'd forgotten about Bond

Thinking back to Shearers debut, there are 2 other things I remember: 1) There was a torrential rain storm, and for the first & only time I retreated under the shelter of the family centre. 2) Someone else scored there first goal for Saints, although I don't think it was this persons debut. A gold star to anyone who can remember who it was.

Excellent news. The first part of my prophecy has come true. Now if Liz can hang around for another 3 years........

As others have mentioned, Shearer. I think Colin Clark scored a hat-trick on his debut, he's hit the pies a bit: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colin_Clarke_(footballer_born_1962).

I used to buy 2 a week, along with Roy of the Rovers when I got my paper round money on a Saturday morning. I must have had over 100 of them. I've no idea what happened to them, probably gave them to a jumble sale somewhere . I blatently plagiarised 2 of them for my English O-level project.

I was specifically thinking of the supply line they provided, and I'm sure the stats will bear this out (which I don't have & can't be bothered to go hunting for), but you make a good point as they also posed a threat and hence confusion in front of goal which would need to be dealt with allowing Rickie the time & space you mentioned.
