  1. I wouldn't know about his home life/drinking habits/transfer speculation. As I see it he's not getting the service he had last season. There has been no Waigo/Antonio replacements come in and we are now paying for it with lack of goals from RL.
  2. £50k - Bargin - snap him up. Just what we need.
  3. I not a royalist by any stretch of the imagination, but this is fantastic news, we will get an extra day off next year, then one in 2012 for the diamond jubilee, another in 2013 for Lizzies funeral, another in 2014 for Charlies coronation, one in 2015 for Charlies funeral etc etc.
  4. 2 wardrobes (50cm x 60cm x 240 cm high). 2 over-bed cupboards (probably 50cm x 40cm high x 60cm wide although I havent measured these). The cupboard are wall mounted and go together with the wardrobes to form an over-bed storage unit, although they can all be separately used and independent units. All the above is white in colour, MFI flat pack type, so can be de-assembled for transportation. In good condition. £25 for the wardrobes, £10 for the cupboards. or offers considered. Collect from Bitterne Park.
  5. Double divan bed & mattress. Four drawers in the divan. Seen better days, but if you want it make me an offer. Collect from Bitterne Park.
  6. I was taught BODMAS, I needed my 13 year old son to tell me what the hell BIMDAS was. 'O' was order, or to the power of, ie 3squared, is '3 to the order of 2'.
  7. I was visiting site in Winchester this morning, and had the honour to be in the city centre as the veterans were paying their respects. It was quite a humbling & moving experience, witnessing the proud old men with their glistening medals. Here's to my 2 Grandfathers & step Grandfather, and all those that fought in the wars, whose bravery & dedication should be an inspiration to us all.
  8. Brackets Order Division Multiplication Addition Subtraction I'm an Engineer. BTW the answer is 42
  9. Are you Dan Harding?
  10. Taking my 13 and 9 year old sons to a great day out at wembley last year.
  11. Taking my 6 year old son to the FA cup final in Cardiff
  12. Jimmy Cases playing career going on and on and on ..........
  13. Witnessing the hatrick scoring debut of Alan Shearer, one of the best players of his day.
  14. Neil Ruddocks penalty against Newcastle.
  15. 124. Franny Benali putting Fashanu into row Z
  16. This. Good luck to the bloke, not the most gifted footballer, but always gives 100%, rather like a left back we once had who went on to become a Saints legend.
  17. I know he's a legend, but is he worthy of 2 slots?
  18. 121. Signing the best goalkeeper in the world, who went on to be the worlds worst ballroom dancer.
  19. When I was a nipper Nov 5th was known as 'Guy Fawkes Night', I seem to remember the change to 'Bonfire' night coming in the 80/90's. I'm a bit of a traditionlist, I don't recognise 'Fireworks' night.
  20. Genuine question: Does Her Maj have/need a passport?
  21. Thanks for that Grandad. Interestingly though wiki says zero comes from the arabic "safira" : Etymology The word "zero" came via French zéro from Venetian zero, which (together with cipher) came via Italian zefiro from Arabic صفر, ṣafira = "it was empty", ṣifr = "zero", "nothing".[27] Also when entering nought into wiki it directs you (thou) to the "zero" page. I guess we are just going around in circles here (pun intended).
  22. I thought, probably incorrectly, that zero was an americanism, and naught is wot us edjerkated people this side of the pond say. It's lucky I alway use zero then.
  23. If we have moved on too numbers, I'd like to add, that the first & last digits (the eliptical things) in the number 02380 are called zeros or naughts, not 'oh' which is a letter. Thanks I feel better now I've got that off (or as some say 'off of' ) my chest.
