I agree with this. Good luck to CN. I had the pleasure of bumping into him a couple of times in Southampton, once in Debenhams & once outside the Mayflower, both times he was happy to spend time & chat about SFC.

Do we need 2 threads of Kelvin bashing? http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?27745-Time-for-Bart

 Good plan! In the 16 league games we've played since the start of October, our defence, who it would appear are unhappy & unconfident when playing in front of our calamitous keeper, have conceded massive 14 goals. Fonte, Jiadi, Harding et al must be sh!tting bricks when they see Kelvins name on the team sheet. So, in this push for promotion, when we need a few experienced heads, who do we replace him with, a largely untried keeper, whose distribution is worse (although admittedly quicker), who misjudges crosses, (there's nothing worse than a gk coming & missing a cross), and who managed to get injured, at least twice due to his misjudgement, first in the Newcastle match when he did his knee & in the Cheltenham match when he was hesitant about coming out and claiming the ball and got clattered by Fonte. KD is a top keeper, alright he may be a little slow getting the ball back into play, but his kicking is more accurate than Barts, he often comes out of his area to effect a clearence, and with the exception of QPR (I think) has never made a mess of it. As for his inability on crosses - god knows where that particular urban myth has originated. One day Bart will be our keeper, but he's not ready yet.

Has anyone else noticed that Dune/Stanleys latest avatar shows a “reactionary, mean-spirited, selfish, bigoted, anti-Irish, anti-Catholic, racist, misogynistic and anti-Semitic”…” with a chip on his shoulder and an angry word on everything .” (to quote Wiki). Sort of appropriate really. A character who was created as a figure of ridicule, and portrayed by a left winger, Warren Mitchell once being a paid up member of the Labour Party. I think the only difference between Dunley & Alf, is Garnett was a West Ham fan. Dunely is one of ours.

"Mr Barbar - a 57-year-old maintenance supervisor who weighs almost 125 kilograms (275 pounds) - said he regularly ate fast food until 1996, when a doctor warned his diet could potentially kill him. Mr Barbar said he had already had two heart attacks and has been suffering from diabetes. "I always thought it was good for you. I never thought there was anything wrong with it," he said." Dontcha love thick yanks.

Not a lot of use to anyone else then . Kill the pedant

Yet some posters think Kelvin is a crap keeper, and the defence isn't comfortable in front of him!

Strangely, not everyone is a footy fan. I'm sure you could find 12 good men & true to sit on a jury in Southampton who have never heard of Lee Barnard. My Mother (although she is not a man ) & my boss, are two that I can think of who would have no idea who he is.

He got a whack in the back, about 10 minutes before half time. I assume that is why he didn't reappear.

Do you ever feel sorry for the opposition..?

I believe until recently, Kieth Grainger was our first team goalie coach. -
I'm going down tomorrow to get my seats, I'll be mighty p!ssed off if someone else has nicked it.

I think the Itchen Stand would be more appropriate. It's where he sat, and is opposite the camera gantry for all to see.

As a word of caution, I've known 2 people who have let their properties, both were managed by agencies. In my sisters case, the place was left in a mess when the tennant moved out, and the withheld deposit didn't cover the cost of repairs by about £1000. My mate couldn't get rid of his tennant, even after they stopped paying rent, after 2 trips to court, they were evicted leaving my mate with a bill of about £5k for legal fees & repair bills, on top of the lost rent for about 7 months. I don't wish to sound like all is doom & gloom, as I'm sure there are many other examples of letting property being successful & profitable, I just thought you should be aware of the possible pit-falls. Good luck.

Here's your answer from wiki: "His arm was removed from under the boulder and retrieved by park authorities. It was cremated by Ralston, and he brought the ashes of his cremated hand and scattered them there." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aron_Ralston It doesn't make any mention of soggy tissues & camcorders though.

That's how I see it.

I think that's the one that my forum buddy is referring too. Brilliant, thanks for that Shurlock, I'll be forwarding that on to my Manc mate.

I've been asked by a Man U fan on another forum I waste my working day on (not a footy one), if Alan Shearer scored the winner for Saints in a FA Cup match at Old Trafford. I don't have a copy of ITN to hand, and I struggle to remember who scored for us last week, never mind 20-odd years ago. Can anyone help, or post up a linky thing to somewhere that might be able too. Cheers-me-dears. DG

Um... these guys.... "National speed limits are set by the government. Traffic Authorities (the local highway authority on local roads, and the Highways Agency on trunk roads and motorways) are responsible for introducing local speed limits where the national limits are not appropriate." http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/HomeAndCommunity/WhereYouLive/StreetsParkingCleaningAndLighting/DG_10028438 or did you think just random members of the public do it, maybe by taking part in a phone vote. All laws are restrictive, that is exactly the point of them, whether you think it's "stupidly restrictive" is irrelevant, it's the law. You can't pick & choose which laws you wish to obey. If someone takes it upon themself to break a law, and get caught - tough, suck it in, man up and take the punishment which may be coming without bleating like a spoilt kid. It amazes me that "lay-people" seem to think they know better than the experts who have done the studies & research before setting the speed limits. Surprisingly they don't select speed limits by drawing bits of paper out of a hat, there is a lot of consideration that goes into it. -

I thought it meant speed-up. -
Is that not a socialist principle though, something you appear to despise. You can't have it both ways!
