Do you ever feel sorry for the opposition..?

I believe until recently, Kieth Grainger was our first team goalie coach. -
I'm going down tomorrow to get my seats, I'll be mighty p!ssed off if someone else has nicked it.

I think the Itchen Stand would be more appropriate. It's where he sat, and is opposite the camera gantry for all to see.

As a word of caution, I've known 2 people who have let their properties, both were managed by agencies. In my sisters case, the place was left in a mess when the tennant moved out, and the withheld deposit didn't cover the cost of repairs by about £1000. My mate couldn't get rid of his tennant, even after they stopped paying rent, after 2 trips to court, they were evicted leaving my mate with a bill of about £5k for legal fees & repair bills, on top of the lost rent for about 7 months. I don't wish to sound like all is doom & gloom, as I'm sure there are many other examples of letting property being successful & profitable, I just thought you should be aware of the possible pit-falls. Good luck.

Here's your answer from wiki: "His arm was removed from under the boulder and retrieved by park authorities. It was cremated by Ralston, and he brought the ashes of his cremated hand and scattered them there." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aron_Ralston It doesn't make any mention of soggy tissues & camcorders though.

That's how I see it.

I think that's the one that my forum buddy is referring too. Brilliant, thanks for that Shurlock, I'll be forwarding that on to my Manc mate.

I've been asked by a Man U fan on another forum I waste my working day on (not a footy one), if Alan Shearer scored the winner for Saints in a FA Cup match at Old Trafford. I don't have a copy of ITN to hand, and I struggle to remember who scored for us last week, never mind 20-odd years ago. Can anyone help, or post up a linky thing to somewhere that might be able too. Cheers-me-dears. DG

Um... these guys.... "National speed limits are set by the government. Traffic Authorities (the local highway authority on local roads, and the Highways Agency on trunk roads and motorways) are responsible for introducing local speed limits where the national limits are not appropriate." http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/HomeAndCommunity/WhereYouLive/StreetsParkingCleaningAndLighting/DG_10028438 or did you think just random members of the public do it, maybe by taking part in a phone vote. All laws are restrictive, that is exactly the point of them, whether you think it's "stupidly restrictive" is irrelevant, it's the law. You can't pick & choose which laws you wish to obey. If someone takes it upon themself to break a law, and get caught - tough, suck it in, man up and take the punishment which may be coming without bleating like a spoilt kid. It amazes me that "lay-people" seem to think they know better than the experts who have done the studies & research before setting the speed limits. Surprisingly they don't select speed limits by drawing bits of paper out of a hat, there is a lot of consideration that goes into it. -

I thought it meant speed-up. -
Is that not a socialist principle though, something you appear to despise. You can't have it both ways!

My mate has MND, a terminal condition, and probably has months to live, he needs other people to dress, feed, and empty his colostomy bag, as he has lost all movement in his body, from his neck down and slurs when he talks. He worked all of his life & was doing OU degree when he was diagnosed. He is on incapacity benefit, as he has been unable to work for about 3-4 years. Perhaps you could pm me so I can pass on his address, that way you can pay a vist & explain to his wife & kids why their father is a bone idle slob.

Bloody hell, I feel quite shocked by this. Rip

Yet another example of Stanley/Dunce living in the past. Rhodesia hasn't existed since 1979. Infact it was the government led by his favourite post 1945 fascist leader who signed the agreement for the name change to Zimbabwe.

Like you give a toss about African poverty. You don't care less about poverty in this country, so don't pretend that you have an ounce of compassion for black guys thousands of miles away.

If I remember my highway code correctly (I may be wrong, I haven't seen one for 25 years ), but I think this is technically illegal. I believe headlight flashing is equivalent to sounding your horn ie. it should only be used to let others know that you are there. Having said that, I’ve flashed police cars before to let them through without being thrown into the clink, so I may be wrong. -

Anti fraud laws don't stop muggings, rapists, murderers, speeding drink/drug driving etc etc etc. Should they be repealed? -

My eldest sons first match was the 1st game at St Marys against Espanyol when he was 4 years old. After the initial interest waned I kept his spirits up with sweets & fizzy pop. I don't think he slept for 2 days after that. He started going to occasional games during the 2002/2003 season, including the FA Cup final, which incidentally was the first match he saw saints lose, we had tears. He's been a sesaon ticket holder since. -
Mick Karn of Japan is another one who's shuffled of the mortal coil today. Rip

I don't mind fans from other clubs occasionally posting here, it makes things interesting, and it's good to get other fans views on matches and attitudes. But these fans should be restricted to threads relevant to their own teams, or kept off the main board, the Pompey boys manage to keep to the Pompey thread. Simster seems a decent sort, making pertinent comments regarding the team he supports. BHA is a troll, who clearly has no interest in the team he purported to support. I think it's time the mods politely asked him to move along. If BHA would like to start a thread entitled “Why does everyone hate Man Ure” in the General Sports section, I’m sure he will get the attention he craves.

Such a shame, a talented guy who had many health problems, so a premature death was always on the cards. Rip fella
