Absolutely delighted, it is getting better and better. Do agree the title thread as it is does not look right.

Portsmouth fail to pay their players again...
corsacar saint replied to Daren W's topic in General Sports
As I said when Markus bought the club, we now have one of the best owners in the entire league bar none. Who gives a dam, about that shower down the road anyway. -
Terrific news, keep fighting John.
-
I think this could be 3-2 either way, tough game for sure. We definately need to keep an eye on Steve Jones and Darren Byfield.
-
Perhaps some on here, should watch his hold up play, his flick ons, and his all round game. Granted he has struggled for fitness for a couple of games, but for me the only reason he is not already playing at a higher level is because he lacks a bit of pace. I am well happy with him as a player at our club.

Some good points tonight, however lets put the win in perspective, Wycombe are the worst side I have ever seen at St Marys. They were arguably the worst league side I have ever seen. The negatives are if we start as poorly against one of the better sides we will be out of the game by half time. The other negative is that the finishing was totally woeful.Just my honest opinion, before some of the normal suspects with tinted glasses jump down my throat. Finally I thought Morgan was superb tonight.

Best player on the park, some of his ball winning tonight was superb.

Horrible feeling this is going to be very tough. Should win 3-0, or 4-0, but would not be surprised by an upset.
-
As long as we are not complacent we should win, however the last two league results they have had, should make sure AP has us in the right frame of mind.
-
I agree wholeheartedly, I would hate to see any league club fold. I just hope we get through the tie. I have a soft spot for Luton, having seen Saints play 5 times at Kenilworth Road over the years.
-
I am concerned also about the injury Duncan.
-
We drew 1-1, at home to Man Utd, 3 games before end of season - 1973/1974. I saw the game , over 30,000there and we totally outplayed them. Mick Channon for us, and Jim McCalliog penalty for them. Saints, United and Norwich went down. I am sure that Duncan can confirm this. I used to have a Saints website with all the clubs results season by season, but changed computers and lost the link. Ron Davies had left the club a couple of years before relegation.

Saints vs Rotherham or Luton - 3rd Round Draw Thread
corsacar saint replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
If Luton get through perhaps we can take another look at Tom Craddock. If it is Rotherham, we owe them for our shocking performances against them at - The Don Valley Stadium in 2007, and Millmoor in 2001/2002. -
We score for fun, but have ended up making both FA Cup results alot closer than need be.
-
Brighton at home.
-
Well done Tim, for your sterling work. I know that you probably revere Ron as much as I did all those years ago. It is still fantastic, what you are doing for the great man.
-
Bart can really show his worth now.
-
Pleased as punch with the result. Now surely we can win 3or 4 on the bounce, if we approach them in the right manner.[Well done to the 635, who supported the club for this one]
-
I hope we win 2-0, or 3-0, which if we turn up from kick off we should. If we turn up with the attitude we displayed for the Brighton game we will lose 1-0, or 2-0.
-
We scored two superb goals and conceded two shockers. The defence is a worry, and Dean Hammond has been poor of late. We have the offensive players to hurt any team in this league, however especially at home, we need to be playing with more attacking intent. We only seem to attack in spurts, instead of continually. We are much better going forward than defensively.
-
Thanks Tim, for the updates. As I have said on numerous threads, Ron is far and away the best header of a ball I have ever seen,as well as being the best all round centre forward to.
-
Agree, we can take sides apart, when we keep the ball on the deck. Some of the one touch in and around the oppositions penalty box is superb.
-
Were those of you on here who are saying Trotman was ok watching the same game as me. He was atrocious, and James was not much better. I would agree however with others, that up until the last couple of games, that Trotman, Gillingham apart was playing well .
-
He has been ill, so presumably he has not done very much training in the last couple of weeks.
-
No thanks.
