To score 3 against Saints and Exeter and cause all sorts of problems, suggests this lad is no mug...I will be very surprised if Tisdale is not inviting him down to train...Pure guess....UNLESS there is something else missing like..background, attitude, etc etc..I am sure someone knows more.. Many big lumbering strikers have been picked up from lower/non league and made a career , especially at our level.....Horsfield, Parkin x two etc etc.. Just a thought, as he scored two lots of hatricks and sounded more than a hanfful from reports......Exeter have McALLISTER in this role....Saints need this type....IF he is good enough...

A lot of the reasonable players on the freebie list are going to end up playing non league football. Many of the clubs will not take a chance regardless of the the footballers previous record.. Carl Cort was a £7 million striker with Newcastle a short while ago and turned away by Wolves..He has now had a trial with Wycombe and been turned away by Peter Taylor...Legs gone/injury prone or demanding too many £s....Aged 31..Like many others will struggle to come off the freebie list whilst clubs tighten their belts.

Just curious as to what has happened to Nick Holmes at Salisbury...He was mentioned in relation to Saints coaching team recently. The game has to be put into perspective as Salisbury only had three contracted players in Tubbs, Mathews and Sinclair. The Manager, Widdrington hads 11 players playing for no wages. Hopefully Saints have picked up since then. Barry Blankley has left his role as assistant to our Tommy as he does not respect him for some reason. Salisbury are still deep in trouble and in need of a new investor.. So all in all they did remarkably well to even turn out a side against Saints. Lord Marland will surely put some dosh in like at Saints...

Jake Thomson......Came on after the Lord Mayors Show and all the balloons had burst.... Team had virtually gone home.....He is a right winger with searing pace and can play right back....Given time an right measured introduction will be an asset to the squad and then the team....Will frighten to death some sides..especially later in the game when brought on......Pardew is very astute and will get the best from him and a few of the other useful youngsters.....In Pardew WE must trust....Onwards and upwards...
