  2. As you say, the plus is he's getting fitter. That's the key really. We need to keep him fit & then (hopefully) the goals will come.
  3. Illness. Not an injury.
  4. The worrying thing is, it's unlikely he will get easier chances than the 2 he's just had from the last 2 games.
  5. The last 2 target men we've had (Lambert / Pelle) also scored goals, for what it's worth.
  6. 9th after not scoring any goals is the good news. We better sort this out in January otherwise the combination of not being able to score & possibly selling our 2 centre-backs in the summer doesn't bode well for next season.
  7. Here we go then. Romeu misses out through suspension. (Hope we score 1st, because the players are likely going to lack belief of getting back into it if we do)
  8. Clarkey & Convict are talking about a Sigurdsson or Ziyech. Goal scoring AMC's. How we need someone to step up. My current thinking on new striker is a target man now. A focal point who can hold play up. I'm not surprised we didn't score tonight. Just disappointed.
  9. He's mobile too, for a big lad.
  10. Famous last words.
  11. They need more forwards on the bench.
  12. Is Cedric injured?
  13. I think the last bit is our fail-safe. We have the option IF we can't get anyone else.
  14. Agree. Everton were always a very logical move for him. Ronald's worked with him before, they will pay his big wages AND the big fee as they've struggled to get big names over the line & United won't put up any resistance to keep him. Everton also need to get their average age down too. Morgan is is ready made to help them. Gueye & Schneiderlin (on paper) is good IMO.

  16. True, but Sam would argue his stint at Southend did him the world of good.
  17. The most obvious transfer in history is getting closer. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2016/12/14/manchester-united-transfer-newsmorgan-schneiderlin-nears-everton/
  18. Yeah. If City / Chelsea / Utd etc. do want him then the price needs to reflect that.
  19. Found this online for you: "Things are written all the time about recovery times, especially for hamstring strains. I tend to think about anything up to 3 weeks for a grade 1, anything from between 2 and 8 weeks for a grade 2 hamstring strain and you are looking at pretty much 12 weeks for a grade 3. It can be anything within that."
  20. A slightly tentative link, but Oscar is being linked with a £60m move to China. So Chelsea will (not surprisingly) have extra cash in the bank if they want to bid.
  21. It will lessen as we won't play on Thursdays anymore, but during "3 games in a week" weeks like this one, Claude will keep on rotating.
  22. That didn't take very long for him to f*ck up!
  23. Would agree that they must be looking at him to replace Kompany. Your pricing isn't unrealistic either. City aren't shy on spending on centre-backs: - Otemendi (£30m+) - Mangala (£40m+) - Stones (£50m)
  24. I'm pretty sure FF said he does have a recall in January. His sourcing is strong on this one
  25. Alex Crook has been reading this thread then!
