I agree about Adkins. He isn't the man to take us forward. I don't even mind him resting some players but at least have a bit of quality on the bench, even United do that in this cup. Absolute joke.

As I have said previously already this season, the abject failure to address the goalkeeping position and centre back position and our generally naivety in our defensive play, means we are going to struggle to keep clean sheets this season, which therefore means a struggle to win games. Yep, you could see Lambert was knackered, so probably understandable that one, but should have brought on Lee for him as his workrate is what was needed. Puncheon and Lallana should have stayed on.

It's going to be a long hard season. Kelvin just isn't up to it and the fact we have failed to sign a decent goalkeeper is going to cost us many points over the coming season. Fonte still looks a liability and I fear that all of our enterprising attacking play is going to end up being undone by a calamitous defence.
