Because I actually believe that the squad is capable of doing much better than it is at present, and due to some bizarre and frankly intangible decisions by our management team we find ourselves just outside the relegation zone. It's very frustrating when you look back at the number of points we have just thrown away this season from extremely good positions.

I go to matches to see Saints win. Therefore I am not minded to be be satisfied or ecstatic, when consistently through our manager and players shortcomings we repeatedly throw winning positions away.

Drawing away at Stoke when 3-1 up, managing a draw against Fulham who were woeful on the day due to crap keeping by Kelvin and not seeing off Arsenal when they were probably the poorest they had been all season. So yes excuse me If I don't see that as progress. 3 draws is equivalent to ONE win, I wish Adkins would show some more guts and not be satisfied with mediocrity.

Good run we have been on? I make that 1 win in 8 games and that against a very poor Reading team. Relegation form in my opinion.

And lets not forget Swansea, Norwich and to a certain extent Arsenal the other night. Had chances to win them all.

Not an overreaction IMO, I saw very little out there today. Whole team seemed happy to back off and let Chelsea have full reign of St. Marys. There was very little there to get the crowd excited, No crunching tackles, no mazy runs, no sweeping cross field passes.. Nothing. We seemed devoid of ideas today and that's why I am extremely worried ,especially given our recent league form when we have managed to grab draws from the jaws of victory..

Completely devoid of passion today, a shocking performance. No wins in five games now...

I have an unusually optimistic feeling about today and reckon we will win... Glad that Boruc is in goal finally.

Was a nightmare. Flapped and flapped and gave me no confidence whenever the ball was anywhere near him. But can't see Adkins dropping him. Our goalies have already cost us lots of points this season and he has done nothing about it.

Exactly what I was going to post. Should have brought on either Ramirez or Mayuka to try and catch them on the break. Shutting up shop against ten men.. failed miserably.

What a lame line up. Got heavy defeat written all over it.

Plenty of possession but seem to be struggling as off late with creating any decent clear cut chances. Lambert has been poor and I would sub him for J-Rod at half time. Little to no threat again from Puncheon and Ramirez, Worrying times.

Snus as in Swedish Snus? Try it whenever I visit Sweden, It always gives me a buzz and when mixed with alcohol it makes one terribly lightheaded.. I don't smoke normally but quite like a bit of snus. I think I read somewhere that Sweden has the lowest male cancer rates in Europe which they put down to Swedes preferring Snus over cigarettes.

I was like WTF when Guly came on, but must say he looked quite lively in the last 10 minutes and should have scored. Good Win and out of the bottom 3. Another huge game against Sunderland in two weeks..

Not particularly enamoured with that starting XI to be honest. Would have put Boruc in goal, and if Ramirez is fit enough to be on the bench, he should be fit enough to start.

Why Adkins is persisting with Gazzaniga is beyond me. The last 3 goals we have conceded have ALL been his fault and he has cost us four points. It's not good enough and will come back to bite us in the season shake up in April..

It has to be Boruc. Have not seen Gazzaniga make a decent save yet and pretty much any shot on target against him seems to go in.

Great win. Great performance. Hopefully we can follow it up with two home wins and move onwards and upwards. Would still like to see Gazzaniga dropped as he isn't ready and feel Boruc could be the man between the sticks. However will not dwell on negativity this week and am heading off out to celebrate !

Gazzaniga has looked shaky and nervy every game he has played. Should never have picked him today after his error last week.
