Quick recap - my question, (which was specifically directed at another poster), was "who are you hoping we'll bring in?"
It's a little unclear (to me at least) how your waffle about it not being your job relates to that question - but ok
Gut feeling is that there's an attacker incoming. The club have made two impressive signings but neither address the biggest problem we had last season - converting chances.
It just feels as though we mean business this summer - and with JRod leaving and Sam going out on loan again - the stage is set for us to complete a great window (I hope!)
Good to have options though. Jack has attributes that suggest he could do a job in there as well as Lemina.
Last season it felt as though an injury to Oriol would be catastrophic.
Can't really see under what circumstances he'd leave. Who would want to sign him? - he's barely played in three years. He'd have to agree personal terms too - and I can't see anyone meeting the wage we're likely to be paying him.
A championship club might take a punt and take him on loan, but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Great post. I'd argue it is far more ambitious to try and build a top-half premier league club from the bottom up than it is to just spend big money on short-term, high-risk solutions with a limited life-span.
But if LFC end up having to pay a world record fee for a defender in order to break that long term contract - doesn't that make it worth it?
More helpful than VvD going "full Berahino", no?
