Are you absolutely certain about that?
-
Yep, agree with all of this. Making a stand = p 1ssing against the wind
-
Love it! (although I'm going to call it a "Warhurst" because it sounds slightly more dramatic )

Great post. I'd argue it is far more ambitious to try and build a top-half premier league club from the bottom up than it is to just spend big money on short-term, high-risk solutions with a limited life-span.
-
But if LFC end up having to pay a world record fee for a defender in order to break that long term contract - doesn't that make it worth it? More helpful than VvD going "full Berahino", no?
-
Please put him on ignore and please everyone - stop quoting him!!!!

Owner having second thoughts about selling club?

If only there was a takeover rumours thread... https://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?57377-Rumours-of-takeover-investment-interest/page38#.WXHOCEb2R8E -
Amen (and I'm a 'keeper... )

Right, but a one in a hundred shot isn't the same as a "fluke". The correct use of "fluke" means accidental good fortune - i.e. pure luck, little skill. The ball rebounding off the post and going in off someone's backside is a fluke. A 40 screamer is not (unless as Eelpie says - he intended to miss).

How would you feel if no one left but we didn't sign anyone else?

A maturing, more experienced Sam Gallacher has taken JayRod's place in the sqaud (for now at least). At this stage who knows whether he will be stronger/weaker/equal to the version of JayRoad we saw last season - who, whatever way you cut it, was a shadow of his former self. -
In what way was it a fluke?

Are they still in the top 10% in the FIFA rankings?
-
Are they? The senior squad haven't lost a qualifier in 8 years. They are ranked 13th by FIFA - and even if the basis for those rankings is a bit dubious, the reality is that they're going to fall in the top 10% of the 211 ranked international sides. I reckon that's above average.
-
Given he is so average - how do you explain JWP getting called up to the senior England squad - and captaining the U21s?

Can we finish higher than eighth in the 2017-18 season?

Not sure what your point is? We bought Mane for 10 million and sold him for 35. -

Quite awesome isn't it? Their spending of £15m on Omar Niasse before shunting him out on loan to Hull was terrfic business. When we did the same with Gaston it was just plain shameful. I blame Les. He simply must make us more like Everton. -

He read it in the Daily Star

It's a very fair point mate - and thinking about it, I know a trained psychologist who is a right dickhead

But you did deny that. You clearly stated that although "mental illness is a horrible thing", "it is not the reason he was sh*te for us". I don't claim to know Stephen Caulker, but he is clearly a very troubled individual. His behaviour, the resulting suspension, his poor form, they are all highly likely to have been attributable to his illness. I don't think branding those people brave enough to speak out about their mental health issues as "d*ckheads" brings the right sort of attention to the problem.
-
Sorry? What? You're claiming that the reason he was sh*te for us was that he had a scrap in town? And you're dismissing the idea that his suicidal thoughts may have impacted his performances?
