Have you got him confused with Targett? I wouldn't say McQueen is slow he is a winger rather than a fullback so tends to be decent at the attacking side of the game not as good defensively though.

I'd start him I can't see Brighton playing in a way that would suit Long's skill set. So assuming we will spend most of the game trying to break down a well organized 11 behind the ball defence looking to play on the break. I'd be inclined to play Gudio, with Boufal in behind and Tadic and Gabbi out wide and attack them.

last three seasons he's managed 6 goals in 33 1goal in 23 0 goals in 6 this season That is some Shane Long levels of goal scoring ability right there...

He is a sick note his injury record puts Austin's injury record in a good light. If he could stay fit it would be different (though Liverpool wouldn't be looking to off load him then)

Relegation is going to be down to the wire this season I reckon. No one from Everton down is really safe yet and no one is really been cut adrift at the bottom. The whole bottom half of the league are bang average.

Long's qualities will be wasted against a team that will sit deep with men behind the ball. I reckon we will do most of the attacking so might as well throw in Gudio and see if he can bury some of the many crosses I expect us to put in. We shouldn't need three DMs against Brighton so play Boufal in the hole behind Gudio with Gabbi and Tadic out wide and ****ing attack them.

I'd assume so. You'd think a release clause would make this one easy if we really want him (and assuming he wants to come to us) then pay the release clause and what Spartak want becomes irrelevant. If we aren't prepared to meet the release clause then why are we bothering?

but we won...I'm no fan of defending 1-0 leads (especially with our tendency to make defensive rickets) but loads of teams do it (god knows enough teams have done it to us) if you win its job done.

The point is regardless of the Manager (and the current one is doing plenty wrong) the players are letting us down you can't hold MoPe (or Puel before him) responsible for an 11% conversion rate that is on the players on the pitch. Wining only 46% of aerial duels is an issue which can't be laid at the managers door, it's either, the players not doing their job properly or our recruitment has given us a team of midgets who can't head a ball. That's not a get out for the manager (who is making plenty of bad decisions) but until we get a player(or players) that can convert more of the chances we do create and player (or players) that can counter the oppositions big **** off CF in the air we are going to struggle to score goals and keep them out of our own net.

People keep saying that despite it clearly not being true. This is a team with a 11% conversion rate, who have won less than half their aerial duels, and are completing only 79% of their passes a lot of that isn't down to the manager (I'm not saying the manager is blameless) but players not doing their jobs properly the players are not as good as people think they are.

The problem (well one of them) with Tadic is he is a creator surrounded by players who couldn't score in a brothel. For two seasons with Pelle and Mane he was out top assist maker. This season he has created 35 goal scoring chances I wonder how many of them his team mates converted in to goals?

why not? I assume if its true MoPe would have been told that is the case so it would hardly be news to him. But regardless if it was leaked by the club it wouldn't have been leaked to the mirror. Also the buying of Guido points to MoPe not getting the sack. I can't see Les "we plan for the future" Reed sanctioning the buying in a player so clearly the manger's choice (especially at the price paid) just to fire the manager a week later.

He was average his first season with us, had a very good season under Poch (sadly cut short by injury) after injury he was crap on his return under both Koeman and Puel we did the right thing off loading him what ever happens else where.
