  1. He is off to Spurs with J-rod in January according to the Mirror. Spurs have a 20 million pound mid season transfer kitty to land both of them  http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/tottenham-set-january-rebuild-schneiderlin-4765626
  2. Well we survived Shaw leaving...........
  3. Morgan has said he wants to play for a big club he will be gone this summer regardless of were we finish in the PL.
  4. Why are you so sure that A) Jrod will be the same player he was before injury B) Jrod has any intention of staying?
  5. Yeah there we were worrying about losing Pelle or Forster thought we had reasonable cover in midfield TBH
  6. Agree time to show faith in the Southampton way..........If nothing else the youth players won't lack for commitment.
  7. One? have we got any others? has Yoshida been hiding an ability to play DM?
  8. Ronald Koeman says Jack Cork will be out for "more than six weeks", while Morgan Schneiderlin is also out of Monday's game against Manchester United. Defender Toby Alderweireld is also doubtful following the injury which forced him off early against Arsenal on Wednesday, while James Ward-Prowse could return to training in a week's time. Dear god our midfield is going to be thin for this game...I didn't think Cork was that badly injured when he came off at arsenal.
  9. Hope that is true...think Cork is class
  10. Eastleigh would be fun haven't had (or likely to have) a Hampshire derby in a while.
  11. Only if there is no negotiating.........
  12. Quite upbeat from Lawro this week Tim Henmen thinks we're ****ed though http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30310037 Manchester United have picked up some momentum but they give the opposition an awful lot of chances on the road and I think Southampton's bad run will end on Monday. Southampton manager Ronald Koeman Koeman saw his Saints side lose out to an 89th-minute goal against Arsenal on Wednesday When I say 'bad run', I mean two defeats against two top teams in Manchester City and Arsenal, but those results are why I would say Saints boss Ronald Koeman will look at this game and aim to not get beaten. Koeman's side were well beaten by City but they were competitive against the Gunners and it will be the same against United, especially because they are at St Mary's. Lawro's prediction: 1-1 Tim's prediction: The Saints have had a unbelievable start this year but United have momentum and will win: 1-2
  13. The fact that it takes two to make a contract is lost on Charlie I think...........
  14. I blame your school history lessons myself.........
  15. I don't think there is any doubt about it our best players will be stripped by the bigger clubs again this summer even if we get European football. Hopefully the black box will do it's thing to get in good replacements. Morgan and Victor will both be gone, Clyne will go, J-rod to (though I'm that bothered TBH), Tadic I can see going Lovern style and Toby will go back to his parent club (though we will get 1.2 million for them re-arranging on our option to buy).Given that it would be mad not to give Cork a new contract.
  16. In fairness you could hear our supporters loud and clear on the Radio Solent coverage you can most weeks.
  17. Hate to break this to you but two of those players aren't actually saints players anymore and the other one is an established first teamer.
  18. Why does it have to be a senior player? are you suggesting there is not a single player in our under 21 set up capable of stepping up to the first team? Doesn't say much for our academy. If Reed is just in the team because there is no one else they might as well put a different development squad player on the bench each week for the experience if there is no intention of playing them it doesn't really matter.
  19. If he isn't ready to play then there is no point him being in the team even as a sub. Surely if he is making the bench he must be considered capable of playing?
  20. Not really an excuse though is it? I'm sure most of his team mates were feeling shattered to......
  21. Even if we could afford them getting them to choose Southampton over the big clubs would be a nigh on impossible sell.
  22. Apart from one run followed by a penalty (against Villa two seasons back I think) I can't recall Mayuka doing anything of note. He really shouldn't be blocking the path of someone like Ryan Seagar to the 1st team he is not good enough and offers nothing to the team.
  23. I think it was Les Reed who compared Harrison to Paul Scholes which suggests the club think he is pretty good I'd say.
  24. Does it matter?
