Hasn't Ronald said they want Cork to stay, it was posted on another thread (Turkish I think) that Jrod wants a new contract but only after his injury is sorted. Morgan will go, Clyne most likely will to but both should bring in a **** load of money to add to the squad. Victor will be next seasons Morgan I reckon.

Why will it be embarrassing? we have lost most of starting eleven and some of better replacement players to injury/suspension so everyone is expecting a tonking from a decent PL outfit

This game is pretty much over before it's started give the entire first team a rest and put out the development squad

This^^ We are a PL club who have just opened a state of the art training facility not some team from the Red Lion pub. The players aren't going to be unfit but our squad is small and players could do with some squad rotation over busy periods which the manager can't do because he doesn't have the squad to cope with it. Add in the fact that several players are still new to English football and coping with the strains of the schedule and it's not hard to see why some players are a bit jaded (but not unfit)

WTF would we want him back. The much maligned Shane Long has already scored more this season than Osvaldo managed in his time here.

That's pretty much how I see it. We have a small squad we need to make it bigger with good PL level players. That was never going to happen last summer with all the turmoil but some new players in Jan is a must I reckon.

Koeman also said the club budgets for finishing 10th (but would like to do better) we have the smallest squad in the PL at the moment. Considering the summer finishing any where in around last seasons finish would be a decent achievement the issue here is to many people got a hard on over our start and are know suffering from the reality of our situation.

Difference is they didn't really lose anyone of note in the summer and brought in some decent players to boot. We on the other hand had to replace what we lost (which I think we did a decent job off) when ideally we need to strengthen what we already had. In effect we haven't really improved (though we haven't got any worse either IMO) where as Wham are , I think, stronger than they where last season. Throw in some of last season top seven teams becoming a bit sh it and Wham are probably about where they should be.

Isn't that true of any game where lower league opposition are playing PL teams? If we lose and we put out our best team it will be gutting but we had a go and you can't ask for more. If we put out some team of youth players and back ups (Mayuka upfront...) and lose I will be mega ****ed.

Why? the league cup is winnable (and could get us into Europe) we won't get top four in the league and our form will pick up after Christmas to see as safely upper mid table so there is no reason not to go all out for the cup ....screw the league.

yeah it's well known players improve by not playing............. TBF I don't remember Sam getting that much playing time last season but I remember a very good goal against Yeovil in the cup and some decent cameos. I think the boy has talent but expecting him to just come into the team after injury and start banging in the goals is unrealistic.Much the same can be said of Jrod to

Looks like this is going to be a replay of last season. Everyone thought 8th was amazing last season so after losing half team in the summer what's the issue with finishing around 8th again this season?
