Lambert looks very frustrated don't think he has had one decent ball in 45 minutes (though TBF his touch and passing have been pretty poor to). Lovern looks like an accident waiting to happen every time Basal attack. Hard to imagine Liverpool were almost PL champions last season............

Won't Ings be available on a free in the summer? Can't see anyone buying him in Jan also can't see Burnley letting him go in January even if he doesn't want to sign a new contract. As their main source of goals Burnley would be better off holding on to Ings and seeing if they can scrape PL survival.

Yoshida's main problems come from being in and out of the team rather than getting a run of games. When he plays regularly he is decent enough. Also his bad performances quite often seemed to come when he was paired up with Jos the boss.

Please god let that be true. Personally figured he would be off at the first opportunity............... though maybe he has looked at how the summer leavers are doing and figures saints might not be so bad.

It feels just like last season to me. The exodus in the summer left us having to replace players (which we've done well IMO) rather than strengthening the squad (which WHU were able to do) to push on (which ideally would have happened this summer) leaving us in the same boat as last season when the injuries start to mount. What we need, which I don't think we will get, is to keep the squad intact in the summer and bring in extra quality players. Sadly we have some really good players who will no doubt be off in the summer.

The way I see it after the summer any finish in and around last seasons 8th is a good result which I would have taken in August. Our really good start had me dreaming a bit in recent weeks and the last few games have brought me back down to earth. We have 15 or so first teamers who are decent but we need a bigger stronger squad to push much further. We are a good PL side, with no debt, great facilities, a good academy, an excellent manager and some top class players we should be pretty happy really. For a club like ours the cups (with a bit of luck) are our best chance of achieving something.

Tadic went off injured Reed is a DM (according to Solent) Hesketh is an AM (according to Solent) so made sense as a substation for Tadic. What didn't make sense was taking Long off for Mayuka........

Didn't RK say the club budgeted for finishing 10th don't think that really goes with splurging big time in January. We need build depth to our squad that's going to take time every we can't just build a squad over one transfer window.

Squad depth looks thin tonight. The bench is Academy boys apart from Mayuka:?, Gardos and Super Kelv. Basically every decent senior player is injured or on the pitch.

I enjoyed that last time we meet in the FA Cup

What would you do different though? options are pretty limited.....though I would have been tempted to have Reed in the team with Mane as an impact sub.

He looks like an adult playing in a mini soccer game bit hard to know what make of that without seeing him play with people his own size.

That's pretty much the consensus on RedCafe before every match ........Man Utd fans in expecting to win every game shocker.

How much do you reckon they will get from player sales then? not much I reckon. I know it falls in to your "all saints fans think the press hate us" bugbear, which you love to bring up as often as daleks we will finish 17th routine, but that article is pretty crap IMO.
