Except it hasn't becuase we have no one better to replace him with at the moment. Yoshida is an unkown quainty(who might come good) and Seaborne is not even up to Fonte's standard.

Ha my mother could keep up with Scholes...Scholes hardly moves just pings really accurate good passes .....maybe we should have done what Wigan did to Morgan and just stuck someome on Scholes to try and cut the supply. Chaplow did go through a peroid of indiscpline the end of our last league one season beginning of our champ season but he seemed to get over that last season. Cork would have been my choice of sub yesterday but failing that Chaplow or even Hammond would have been better than taking off Lambert.

Hardly you could see Fox struggling in the Championship....plenty of people saying he wasn't good enough for the PL last season...but becuase he got some assists (mostly corners and free kicks I reckon) some people chose to ignore his defensive frailities........

So if J-rod is Lambert's successor why is he being played out wide rather than a straight swap for Lambert when Lambert is knackered?

and yet didn't....It was obvoius all summer the defence was weak and yet we didn't get in a LB in and are probably still short a decent CB. I hope Yoshida it the dogs Bollix becuase he needs to be.

This ^^^ class in league 1, showed last season that the Champ was probably his level but in the PL Fonte looks well off the pace and mistake prone...

Really you're only becoming concerned now? some of us were saying at the end of last season that Fox wasn't up to it. I reckon Shaw will turn into a decent LB in time but to have him as back up at the moment seems mad. Can't understand why we didn't strengthen the defence more this summer.

Just like the old PL days conceding in injury time. Our defence is going to screw us this season they're not up to it (Clyne apart) that's 8 goals cocede in three games...Not good enough. The subs today where totally wrong. Long (long) season ahead. On the plus side our attack seems decent and Lambert doesn't look out of place at all.

Still not sure the Defence is up to the PL LB looks very weak... Shaw sounded good going forward against Stevenage but seemed to have problems defending against League 1 wingers. No doubt Shaw will turn into a great player but right now Fox and a youngster at LB is worrying. Still think we need another CB being forced to turn to Seaborne in the PL is a scary thought. Else where not to bad. A lot of pressure on Rameriz the price tag means people will expect alot from him almost from the first kick and knowing the SMS faithful he won't get long before the slating starts if he doesn't live up to the hype.

Oh well thought he'd be a useful player to have around...but he was hardly around long enough for me to be that sad about him moving on.

I'm pretty sure they didn't.... hence right backs trying to overlap and bypass SDR rather than playing through balls for SDR to run onto. When they did pass to SDR it was usually with his back to goal with 2 defenders on him Adam Lallanna might be able to dribble his way through that SDR wasn't that skillful.

Just goes to show pace (the holy grail) isn't much use if a player doesn't get the service......the rest of the team seemed to have a mental block when it came to passing to SDR either ignoring him or putting in totally the wrong sort of passes to play to SDRs strengths. SDR never seemed to click with NA or his team mates on the pitch so he might as well move on as he is unlikely to make much of an impact at saints.

Five goals conceded in two matches rather points to needing to tighten up the back ....unless the plan is to have so much firepower upfront we can afford to concede 2-3 goals a game and still win

I really don't think Youtube videos are much help in assessing a player Papa Wagio, Guly and SDR all looked ****ing amazing on Youtube. Not That I'm writing this guy off or saying he won't be great just Youtube is a little selective....

I'll admit to knowing diddly squat about this guy......you make him sound like the next Pappa Waigo (not sure if that is a good or a bad thing)
