Look - this 'next season' stuff is getting stupid. Why, just because it's 'next season' and not this starting with now? If you can't do it now why should next season be any different? I put the question because it's logical. Next season talk is based purely on emotion and hope. If you're going to do something different next year why not do it now?

To be fair, they did have three or four first teamers out and for a team with very few resources that does make a big difference. Yes we did play very very well but not time to gloat yet - lets gloat after a win on Tuesday....

This is the absolute point of the matter not only are results very average our performances are too so why should we expect that to change - ever? There is no sign of a pattern of play or a passing game beginning to emerge.....This is why the Pardew situation is so worrying, he doesn't appear to be going anywhere........

Come on - we can't beat teams who have spent the sum total of zero on players so how does that justify us buying another half dozen players to kick it 100yds up the pitch to nobody! It's Pardew's lack of tactical nous that is the problem........

We were wrong to be too far advanced in the second half. We needed to probably go 451 once it went to one all as they were over running us. I really don't think AP is quite there tactically and it will tell in the end!!........ Waits for the avalanche of emotional 'Happy Clappies' to condemn me for having an honest opinion of the outcome and the way it occured....

YES but the cup team are better than the current/recent league team so obviously the priority to AP is the cups or his league team selection is suspect?

You're falling into the trap of 'if only we had such and such a player'. It's splitting hairs. AP has had all the opportunity in the world to bring in a backup and hasn't so he must have made that decision anyway. The he has now largely built himself is his making as is the choice to dump Gillett, leave Thomas on the bench, play Waigo in midfield instead of up front in position and change the complete back four every other game....

Just a little gentle reminder - Furguson was about one game away from the sack before he clawed his way out of a huge hole so MAN U were not that patient at the time. Results had to change and they did or he was out of work!

Are you serious? You think the new owners would be satisfied with three years in league one with the money, effort and risk they are putting in? People just don't get it. It doesn't make a scrap difference what 'merry go round' has gone on before. That is totally irrelevant to whether AP is up to this job or not - it's just a complete red herring.....

How many lines are we prepared to draw? For me Pardew is suspect. Too many buys - Thomas dropped always, James in always are just two very suspect decisions which opitomise the Pardew era. He hasn't a clue where he is tactically or personnel wise. We have been playing poorly for a number of weeks now with often radically different teams from game to game. He puts Waigo alongside Lambert for half a game a couple of times and it works well but next game he changes the format - he's lost and I fear slightly inadequate for the status we are aspiring to. Even when we were winning more regularly often our goals have come from an individuals moment of skill rather than a consistant dominance of games through tactical play. Considering the skill we have in the team and the money we are spending I have seen very little this season to convince me AP is the guy we need at the helm......Mind you - he interviews beautifully!

IF the Echo need Saints more than the other way round that in turn means there is a significant demand from Saints fans for the Saints news in the Echo. Which in turn means the club are doing a disservice to the fans by enforcing this ban. Which way do you want it?????????

The club are acting like idiots and you're bitter for some reason towards the Echo. It's a very minor matter the club are making a big deal over. Cortese could have had the paper in for a meeting and lay the law down. The ridiculous over the top reaction of the club on this occasion does not bare it any credibility - what ever you think of the Echo!
