  1. Dan I don't know you though I am a daily reader of the Echo. I have to say my opinion - for what it's worth is that the so called fans representives the paper continues to publicise in shape of SISA and the 'Trust' is it, are not representing anyone but their very small minority selves. As such the Echo should not be touting their opinions and giving them the completely out of proportion editorial space they do. Your excuses on this matter are excruciating and nausious. If you gave these people the one inch of space you gave other fans opinions your excuses would hold more water. My conclusion is you are stoking up issues and controversy where none exists in the main fan base and stroking the ego's of a couple of people nobody cares about or wants to be associated with. The Echo loses so much credibilty when it prints such irrelevant nonsence written and quoted by nobodies with opinions that people are tired of seeing and are not representive. Further more I would be hypocritical if I offered my own name and contact details for you to tout my opinions and results of silly meetings if I called one with my mates. It's not news Dan so pretend it is !
  2. Oh so so true. What the heck was the reason we didn't either sign them or replace them. It was patently obvious they were driving our team. It was also obvious Pardew didn't like Waigo and was not fussed about loosing either of them. To not replace them was nothing short of incompetent!.
  3. AL in a different league to any of the rest......our results without him are no coincidence!
  4. Surely not - for gods sake don't believe what wilkins tels you Nigel....
  5. He motivates the hell out of me - I can't stop smiling.... If the players aren't excited by having this guy in charge they bloody well should be !!!
  6. A classic - brilliant!
  7. poppy****
  8. Does anyone know WHAT IS GOING ON ! This is just nuts. This ship is about to ground on the rocks and no one seems to want to call a lifeboat. Where is the bloody captain and what the hell is he doing? It seems to me he has locked himself in his cabin and is crying in the corner. Sort yourself out Cortese, you're falling well below the high standards you set everyone else!!!!!!!!!
  9. INTERVIEWS........... We seem to have contrived to even mess this up, offering Howe the job before asking him IF he would take the job IF offered it. You DO NOT offer the job first before finishing ALL your negotiating !!!! This includes any possible compensation negotiations (Atkins). Cortese has been alarmingly poor at this area of business, by his CV and what we are lead to believe his experience in business is this is should have been elimentry ............
  10. This amounts to bad management. Without those two we are 50% down on players who make a real difference. It was glaringly obvious but nothing was done about it. Pardew and Cortese to blame. Without AL we are team of triers with little difference to any other team and add that to Papa and Antonio you have the sum total of a team of average underachievers!!!!!!! Wake up this is how it is........

    Waigo

One of the few. Yes but it's a giant size reason - about 10 times more of a reason than shaky substitutions or his other numerous average to poor decisions. Not having Waigo and Antonio is massively glaring and stupid.
  12. Whether Alpine has been to the ground or not his comments are without doubt exactly true. His location on the planet is totally irrelevant !!!
  13. noooooooooooooooooooo thanks
  14. Oh dear......................
  15. Are you actually serious or just a generally bitter person. Hoddle was doing well with us and got noticed by a bigger club who he had supported as a lad. He took the rational decision to have a go at managing them. If you were that person and the same thing happened to you and were offered to manage Saints you would do it every time! Also, he said something that he has sorely regretted ever since - no doubt you have never said a word out of place - well you're lucky, most of us have put our size nines right in it on more than one occasion in life. Put aside your burden of bitterness and look at the guy for his tactical skills which were in evidence when he managed here. Good, measured, thought out passing football. Funny I haven't seen one poster on here slag him off for being a bad football manager - only for apparently making a few people bitter. If you guys are so pure then why not practice some forgiveness in your life - you will be surprised how much better you feel inside......
  16. I don't give a flying ant what the moral at the training ground is like. Every thing is there for one purpose only and one purpose only to win first team football matches. Moral at Staplewood is a complete red herring. If crap moral drives success for AP then I'm all for it - or was !
  17. Very well constructed summary..
  18. Hoddle please, superb tactician/organiser - all the things AP wasn't.
  19. You have no idea of the reasons for AP sacking so your conjecture about jokes is your own ill informed emotion and nothing more!
  20. Look it happens dozens of times every game and you think it's nothing to do with Pardew????? Or IF he has just recognised it he so slow and inept at realising how his team is operating that he needs to go right now. Either scenario is scary!
  21. That would be when we had Antinio and Papa I take it?
  22. 100% correct. Why isn't anyone else spotting this massive thing happening on the pitch every game. Every set play we are stood in a huddle 3feet from each other with no outlet to pass to IF the ball happens to drop to one of our players. It is totally moronic!
  23. Probably the worst player ever to play for us and not joking...
  24. How can that possibly be a good thing - not worked that one out at all............a win please.....
