Go on then - how does Pardew want to play ????
-
'Experiment' Pardew does nothing but !!!
-
How many lines are we prepared to draw? For me Pardew is suspect. Too many buys - Thomas dropped always, James in always are just two very suspect decisions which opitomise the Pardew era. He hasn't a clue where he is tactically or personnel wise. We have been playing poorly for a number of weeks now with often radically different teams from game to game. He puts Waigo alongside Lambert for half a game a couple of times and it works well but next game he changes the format - he's lost and I fear slightly inadequate for the status we are aspiring to. Even when we were winning more regularly often our goals have come from an individuals moment of skill rather than a consistant dominance of games through tactical play. Considering the skill we have in the team and the money we are spending I have seen very little this season to convince me AP is the guy we need at the helm......Mind you - he interviews beautifully!

Echo dispute reaches Express
captainchris replied to Third Division South Days's topic in The Saints
IF the Echo need Saints more than the other way round that in turn means there is a significant demand from Saints fans for the Saints news in the Echo. Which in turn means the club are doing a disservice to the fans by enforcing this ban. Which way do you want it????????? -
Echo dispute reaches Express
captainchris replied to Third Division South Days's topic in The Saints
The club are acting like idiots and you're bitter for some reason towards the Echo. It's a very minor matter the club are making a big deal over. Cortese could have had the paper in for a meeting and lay the law down. The ridiculous over the top reaction of the club on this occasion does not bare it any credibility - what ever you think of the Echo! -
Saints V Stockport County - Post Match Reaction
captainchris replied to St Landrew's topic in The Saints
The amount of changes are excessive and unnecessary and in addition the managers call ! I'm still not convinced by AP.... -
Weak line up - what does Thomas have to do to get picked - score a hatrick from right back every game!!
-
What on earth does a membership scheme do? It cost money to administer which means it has to charged for which is a wasted exercise. I don't go all the time or I would buy a season ticket and as a 'customer' have buyer remorse over paying for right to buy a ticket - counter productive in my opinion doing nothing to encourage attendance.
-
What are you going on about!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Echo DID GET LOWE AND WILD OUT!!!! The Echo's continual barbaric bombardment of Lowe was getting really tiresome - putting aside the personalities and opinions, they stoked it up EVERY DAY. Christ the Royal 'we' too mate - count me out of your 'we' please, I want no part of your 'have it both ways' bitterness.....

Jason Puncheon to Saints according to SSN
captainchris replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Come on, this squad is getting rediculous. AP needs to concentrate a bit more on his tactics and consistant team selection with subtle changes for fatigue rather than these wholasale defencesive personnel changes. I am seriously concerned about the AP decision making all round. He has a multitude of his own players now and has spent fortunes compared to say Brentford so it's time for results and pattern of play now. Much less 'humping' less bias towards not picking certain players i.e. Thomas - however well he plays and James who only has to turn up to be picked every time. More thought now and less default to the transfer market. I just think AP has gone a bit stir crazy and needs to focus on the job in hand... -
James is clearly not up to the standard required in this team - Thomas is a better right back and has far more presence and assurance. Also he is very useful with defending set pieces and attacking set pieces. For some reason AP just doesn't seem to like Thomas......
-
Wern't they just really terrible in that match.......
-
Isn't there a law that dictates this .............Averages! Great win.....
-
This is so true. What is the obsession about James and the very negative tactics away. Having spent big time on our team why are we afraid of a team of free's. Of course they were going to close us down Alan - what do you expect and what do plan to do about it - play deep and defend inviting pressure. With your spending power and the time you have now had playing and talking with that much respect for Millwall is not a 'winning mentality' !!

Spot on too

What news on ticket sales for the Luton match
captainchris replied to brianoneils slidingtackle's topic in The Saints
No - the really worrying thing about this is that management are not a lot closer to what their customers are thinking. They should know within 20% how many are going to turn up by conducting customer interaction. I was talking to Steward at the Exeter who could not believe the intentions to have most of the ground shut - nor could we - so why did they? -
Most definitely agree. His is a lofted ball from a very deep position......If only he could cross with pace and get forward but he doesn't / can't. However, more importantly his defending is way off - he was asleep several times in the second half on Boxing Day. He is an honest hard worker yes - very much so but where we are headed we need more than that ....
-
Comparing Lallana to Mills even when Lallana was 19 is quite ridiculous. I think you need a very different analogy !
-
What I can't understand is the rush at every possible moment to get James into midfield as if he's another Lallana! He's plainly not in the league of our other midfielders - so why?
-
Very good points well made. James being picked 'come what may' - it is really irritating, not only to many fans but also must be for the other players too... Yes he is a 100 per center but - he's not good enough.
-
+1 James is no right back..
-
Sorry can't agree at all with this post. Mills cannont handle this league and has been well off the olace every time he has played this year. I'm afraid he's not going to make it...

Saints 3-1 Exeter - Post match Reaction
captainchris replied to SOTONS EAST SIDE's topic in The Saints
You say James MOTM - I say worst player on the pitch - football is a game of very diverse opinions. Whilst Harding did not set the world alight but wasn't really too bad at all... We are the opposite to last year. This year on the whole playing playing some average football but winning and last year some great football at times but loosing. Exeter did remind me of us last year year at times. Played some very attractive passing football but didn't win.... -

Agreed, AP doesn't seem to rate Thomas who is a better option in my opinion.... -

James was caught sleeping several times. Three or four or five times he was actually snoring in the second half! Nowhere near good enough for this team and should be dropped now - dreadful display again!
