Real supporters are still there supporting, the others are just fair weather supporters who are bitter people. Carry a grudge all your life and you will remain very bitter, very twisted, very sad and immature and most of all VERY UNHAPPY. I feel sorry for you. The joy and experience of being there Saturday was incredible, shame you missed that amazing feeling of 4000 Saints fans united in the sprit of Southampton. One more thing do you know we are contributing to our team you lot of so called fans who are 'on strike' contribute absolutely zero to the amazing football we are playing and the amazing skill of the likes of Lalanna and co so don't bother being proud of him and the others because you have abdicated your right to do so !!

Reading V Saints Post Match thoughts and reaction
captainchris replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
I'm sorry but where did 442 come from. The formation was the same as usual if you ask me. Great win though and what a performance from the fans! -
Perry my man of the match. He is very intuitive of the play. He does lack height and pace but sees things so well and his interchanging and covering of the left back position was first class.

God is this really the only criteria we have for getting a player in? The only thing that is a cast iron certainty in this life is that there are better 'cheap' players out there, this guy is not even on the same planet as AL on a very bad day and would not get in our park game well we might let him join in but he would be last to be picked !!! We have to draw a line under players of this low skill level right now !!!!
-
So true. Wooton is not good enough for this team / league, please do not persist with the total folly of playing this guy any more it's beyond rediculous !!!!!
-
Sorry but it is now more and more obvious that this manager is out of his depth or shall we say off the pace !!!!!!! I didn't go to Preston but Oscar Gobern was pretty poor today as was Wooten - what the hell did we employ him for? He so very poor that I would not cross the road to watch him let aloan go to the ground to watch - he is just a total waste of space and the main reason we were totally outplayed in midfield for all the time he was on the pitch......... I am not a big fan of Jake Thompson however he had a good first half and did look like he meant it and was getting to the bi-line and crossing dangerously. So, what do Portaloo do - he takes him off !!!!!!!!!!!!! and leaves on Gobern who was like a rabbit in the headlights and contributing so little. This leaves us playing with nine men in effect - not surprising then that we were struggling!!!!!!!!!!!! This may be controversial but I also think OL is a long way off the pace too so lets make it eight and a half players against eleven. The manager cannot leave things aloan when we do put a performance together and definately cannot analyse the team performance in a professional way. It has taken him months to realise the two full backs were not up to the job and now we have a further obstinate insistence to alter the team and play personnel who are not up to the job. Of course the complete one trick pony formation is another matter all together !!!! I'm sorry but Jan this is not working. We have some very good players who are performing in spite of you not because of you. I am losing faith in your management skills now. A footnote - Today Bristol City flooded the central midfield and we failed to play round this or counteract the numbers in there - this was very basic stuff and not picked up by the coaching staff. In conclusion, poor choice of personnel, poor tactics, and poor perception of the situation - until it was far too late !!!!

Chris Perry, Injured or dropped?
captainchris replied to Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd's topic in The Saints
Well said -
Sorry but can we stop this Killer worship. Yes he was a very good player but now he's not. Please please can we move on. We won't be a good team based on memories !!! Nice guy, motivational but a shadow of the player he once was !!

Rory Delap's notororious long throw .
captainchris replied to CHAPEL END CHARLIE's topic in The Saints
Did you go and watch the pre season friendly against Stoke at our place? Rory Delap was really very poor indeed........ -
Rory Delap's notororious long throw .
captainchris replied to CHAPEL END CHARLIE's topic in The Saints
Even more strange when you consider that litterally anyone can be coached to take throw in's that far, it's very easy to do !!!! Sadly though many so called 'football people' / coaches just cant figure it out - but then on the whole they are not the brightest candles in the box !! -
I have certainly heard this too.....................
-
Have on good authority tonight that you are indeed right. The players have no confidence in Portaloo and actually RL is in any case now picking the team! Makes you weep..................................................

Lowe should be certified, there is something gravely wrong with him and I'm not joking here. A business plan which includes laying off off all your skilled workers is NOT SOMETHING THE BANK WOULD AGREE WITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. A business is not sustainable with no skill base unless it's McDonald's and even then it's difficult !!!!! This whole bloody mess is beyond belief, take me on Lowe - I will sell the required business plan to the bank you can't do it or won't - move aside you are not thinking a winning strategy which leads to one thing a loosing strategy and a loosing mentality which we have in abundance. You have a large investment that needs protecting let experts get in there and help you out YOU NEED HELP - SEEK IT !!!!!!!!!
-
I can't stop laughing at that ridiculous comment - even SJ needs to be on the pitch to score goals !!!!!!! I see it is now confirmed on the OS that the senior players have been kept out of the team so we don't have to pay them as much, and I thought this was just a vicious rumour put about by the anti Lowe brigade. They have been proved to be right and I have been a naive.
-
If we now go and get yet another teenage midfielder on loan I will personally take up stamp collecting !!!!!!! Rupert Lowe now owes it to his customers to set out his plan for the rest of the season. I am talking about business plan, staff and strategy. I want to know his plan for the next three years so as I can decide where to place my business and loyalties. My patience is stretched to the limit and am thinking of taking a look at Eastleigh !!!
-
I'm now sick of it too. I was a Lowe supporter but this one beggars belief - I am thoroughly sick of his meddling and yes I say it again I have supported him. This is just sh--e. We continue to ship in hundreds of of average teenagers and free transfer average park players on loan and pay for this folly by the most amazing crappy strategy of selling our most reliable goal scorer and contributor to the team. So Lowe really is running the team and Portaloo really is a puppet!!!!!!!!!!!!! If EVER there was a week where we proved we need the experienced players this was it and we make THE MOST BIZARRE decision I can possibly imagine. This really is utter cr-p. I am disgusted. I actually really do believe Lowe has completely lost it now. Do we actually have one player now who has scored more than 5 goals in a season in our whole squad ??????????????????????????????????????????? (In the first team !!!!!!!) We all know some have scored a few in the reserves! Don't get me wrong I love the youngsters but for God's sake this is now a fantasy Lowe is living out - am I dreaming???????????????
-
Portaloo is going round and round in circles. It really is not working. Now we are going back round to the Jake Thomson circle it's rediculous. Same two full backs that are not working same McGoldrick not working. I really think he is not showing us that he is capable of anything but being a one trick pony. Tighten up the bloody defense man !!!!!! STOP BUYING/ LOANING MIDFIELDERS, ATTACKERS and get some defenders in - Hello !!! And tell Davis to come for crosses !!!!!!!!! it's so bloody obvious to everyone, we are week in defense SORT IT OUT
-
Just how many times do we have to play Thompson to understand he is way off the pace for this division ??????? As for McGoldrick - ditto
-
100% correct !!!!!!!

I think you missed the point Nick which is to reduce the price to everyone..... No one is suggesting taking away the right to buy a season ticket - not at all but according to the club, right now it is strangling us from reacting to market forces because season tickets were overpriced in the first place probably. However it does beggar the question why people buy season tickets when the ground is half full ? The thing is the club could even consider a business plane to fill the ground and refund some money to season ticket holders or discount the overpayment on a season ticket next year ...........What is required is bright innovative ideas to fullfill the very important over riding need to fill the ground............ There seems to be no ideas coming from the club at all !!!!! We know about the players, the team building, the lack of money, the patience etc etc etc but lets see positive initiatives to bring people in. Remember initiatives to increase the crowd size only need to break even, the benefit is in the team confidence and customer enjoyment which is - like any business perpetual. Personally I couldn't believe how negative the thinking was to shut the corners of the ground. This sends out entirely the wrong message i.e that the business is in decline it also displaces loyal customers but address the root cause/problem more punters needed!
-
Would certainly agree with this, £18.00 is about right for the product for an adult but make it much less for students and kids.
-
This Lucker guy at SMS is honestly not bright enough to manage ticket sales. We don't go along any more on the spur of the moment for evening cup games as there is never enough staff on to sell tickets. You get in the ground at half time if you're lucky and to pay for half a game will not entice me to attend as much as I would love to. (I can't buy in advance as work a long way from home and don't know if I will manage to be there). What Lucker said in the Echo was that selling season tickets is actually holding us back from getting many more supporters in as the club are worried about upsetting season ticket holders by discounting. What utter rubbish this is, it's 5 year old stuff. Do they know at the ticket office why people buy season tickets ?????????????????????? NO THEY DON'T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In fact why do they buy? Ok there is a discount for buying all year and you get your guaranteed seat next to friends and family etc. Ok on the discount issue this is only an advantage IF you can attend just about every match and as most people would end up missing a game or two throughout a season the discount reason is minimal. So this brings us to either support of the club - with money paid in advance or sitting next to friends etc !!!!!!!! Maybe there is a reason I have not listed? We need bums on seats and noise. Results are mediocre the team is building and customers are thin on the ground. However, WE have apparently precluded ourselves from attracting more support because we have sold season tickets rendering us totally incapacitated to react to market forces. Good business ????????????? no bloody poor business. Before you make mindless statements Mr Ticket Sales expert find out why people buy season tickets and then plan your sales to fill the ground. In other words think backwards !!!!!!! The most fundamental advantage you can gain at home is a large partisan crowd - the 12th man. The club are guilty of not drumming up support, they are not out there making noise in the community - the marketing is p ss poor, the awareness of their customers is non existant, it's often impossible to buy tickets on line or at the ground! The place is less than half full and this makes the overall experience less enjoyable. This resignation from the club to accept the status quo is mind blowingly amateur.................... God you even have to pay to be a member - bloody HELP, WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON with this so called business !!!!!
-
Cole is very over rated and yes Bridgy is a better player that's one reason he got booed - he's not actually that good!
-
Congratulations Scooby a well written and thoughtful message. The lunatics on here who claim to be supporters really are not anything of the sort. No true supporter would say they wish the club would go into administration. The consequences of this nightmare scenario would be the same as Luton and Bournemouth - Any person who wishes that on a club is by deffinition someone who wishes the worst for them!!!!!!!!!!
