For Gallagher see Forster, Ele and Stephens - what’s the point?

How certain clubs and players are refereed.

You can have a corrupt mindset without receiving money or gifts. If you court popularity with the media, certain clubs, managers or fans by your decision making you are ‘corrupt’ -
Agree. Ralph pulled a bit of a stunt yesterday and didn’t cover himself in any glory.
-
Not sure about that list, Armstrong clearly a no as is Bednarek. Both do not live up to the hype they have generated.
-
100% Ralph has lost some credibility today.
-
No excuse for picking that team at all. I’m sorry but no excuse. Some of those players we already know are no where near good enough why pick them again? That is poor management - say what you like no need for it.

JB is nowhere near as good as his hype actually.

Well we are safe and well done Ralph with this lot in tow.... I predicted we would concede bringing Armstrong on and we did. He is just not at the races at all. He is lazy and or not aware what’s going on around him. Ralph is obviously very unsure about him and rightly. The fans fav who is of a similar ilk and should be moved on is Bednarek. It’s not surprising that we conceded three with him and Stephens at the back who of course is also needing to be shifted on. So two Centre Backs needed, cover or competition at right back though Ramsey looks very useful and a forward.
-
Ok Stephens isn’t good enough but nor is Bednerek to be truthful....
-
Nice piece..... One you may have left off is a very strong tendency to stand off and sit deep as the game wears on particularly when narrowly winning. This also has happened too often for long periods after taking the lead in games earlier in games. Really Ralph must insist that players play to tactical instruction and not how they feel comfortable when ahead. Certainly with three at the back we can quickly get over run in midfield so the weakness in the centre back position is costing some midfield control and over taxing our midfield who as you say noticeably tire later in games.

They had several very decent players not least their goal scorer.

Dreadful reffing it would have been a very harsh yellow let alone a very odd red card. Unlucky as we were on top at the time against a very technically gifted team. Very unlucky..

There is a very weird football thing that goes in often in games and one we are near the top of the league in. Jockeying, this is the art of not engaging the opposing player or more importantly the ball. There is a culture of this method of waiting for man with ball to make his move and not the defender first. Weird and unecessary.

Great result... Now let me see - Gallagher or Sims errrrrrrr.... Gallagher should be nowhere near a premiership team. Apart from everything else his lack of effort is alarming.... -
Three weeks training and we still sit deep after going ahead and then wonder why we throw so many leads.
-
What can Ralph do to ensure we are ‘at it’ after a long lay off. We seem to be off the pace straight after gaps in fixtures?
-
Errrr not sure but didn’t Sims score two with asssists too in his last U23 game? How many first team minutes has he actually played to be very fair to him. In any case statistics don’t tell the whole story. Wins and general contribution count too. Sims does tend to affect games pretty well and shows very well for the ball which is massively important in momentum terms when in possession. Armstrong is still often not involved enough in that phase so he can quite often be anonymous for long periods. Hopefully he can become more consistent in this regard. By all means be offended by that analysis though if you wish. Btw Valery similar and to be honest Ralph is coaching him more in occupying space rather than being marked so it’s coming along and two goals is obviously superb stuff....
-
Errr weird logic.... They don’t ever play because they are useless, st least Ings plays and plays well as and when it’s better than never !!!
-
This is not a game for Armstrong to start. Sims a better option, he has more awareness and energy ...
