This is frankly drivel..... Ralph might work very very hard, however this just makes me more concerned with what he achieves with this hard work. He seems to be Manager who keeps doing what he has always done and then is surprised when he keeps getting the same results. He just repeats repeats. It’s the same bodies playing the same poor football picked over plainly better players... Ralph is just continuing to walk blindly on and seems oblivious to his mistakes. For this reason it concerns me that we are backing him to this extent, after all he hasn’t really shown any sign of improving what he has got. I am not sure if the new coach he brought in is his No2 or just another bib distributor... Certainly again no improvement shown since he was brought on board. You cannot run a Premier League football team without an assistant that is a definite.. I am not buying this King Ralph thing. If he’s working that hard and producing this dross how will he change? The wise guys don’t work harder they get cleverer.. Ralph can work 24 hours a day but if he’s making poor decisions the whole time he will still end up with same result...

Come on, Ralph has shown no skill or initiative in coaching these players. Time and again the common thread on here is that players have actually regressed since Ralph has lost Rohl. We are plainly getting worse and worse, if there was sign of improvement then fine, however there isn’t. Yes there are huge problems with ambition, losing mentality, recruitment etc but undeniably Ralph is bringing nothing to these players and the team. Even his team selection is completely weird, for example what exactly does McCarthy have to do to be picked with Gunn being abysmal for weeks. Sorry to say for many reasons that Ralph just isn’t at the races and clearly he has lost the dressing room too. One thing he is certainly not is the Austrian Klopp ....

Would a new man lose a game 9.0 even with this squad? We are in bottom 3 and lose 9.0 with players obviously not trying is that not a basis for grave concerns over our manager?

Immediate future- where does this leave us?

Wasn’t it Ralph himself who said we need a small squad? Whether we believe the alternatives are not as good our perseverance with certain current first teamers including the captain is proving to be a disaster. Ralph always seems blind to the needs of the team and prefers his obstinate personality driven methods which never work in any work environment. Ralph seems to have so many ‘issues’ going on with players that he is digging a big hole for himself with credibility in his squad and with fans and results he cannot be allowed to continue, the **** pile he has managed to construct is now too big. -
Get him in now... We need a strong personality more than ever....

Too many people blaming anyone but Ralph. Ralph has been bizarre with his management this season. Poor team selections and strange obsession with picking players totally out of form in favour of plainly better players, tactics have been changing with bemusing regularity, coaching has been plainly NON EXISTENT, Ralph clearly does not grasp the marking theory or the fact that you must close space in the area south of the penalty area - we just don’t. We continually stand off - this is coaching. Ralph is clearly crap without his side kick... Sorry to say he is really lacking and the players obviously know he can’t hack it. There is also a major issue with the lack of a winning mentality at the club. This is very prevalent with the lack of a bullish attitude from top to bottom at the club, the acceptance of mediocrity from all levels of management, directors and coaching staff and actually even some supporters who claim to be better fans if they accept **** poor performance. In this life if you are not a winner you lose!

To be fair Ralph has been abysmal on many levels this year and this has been coming with his very strange obsession with players in poor form continually being picked, confused tactics and on the evidence seen really poor coaching... He has to go....

Unfortunately true.....

Nice with chips then ..

Haven’t seen them but good call !!

Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche

Whilst this is an element we have had a serious issue with player selection and obviously do not - have not had the correct skill level at the club to recognise a very good player when buying in. Looking at the under 23s this week this issue is reflected right through the first team squad and the under 23s who don’t have a single player within touching distance of the first team squad and I wouldn’t expect those players to cost 30m. The quality or lack of it on show was truly atrocious against Blackburn. Maybe this is coaching maybe it’s poor recruitment but we have one hell of a mountain to climb before we are anywhere near where we need to be as an organisation. -
Director of Football Operations Replacement Thread

On the contrary, this is a senior Management/Director position and should not be a person that Ralph favours as Ralph will be reporting to him. -
Nice sensible suggestions. Maybe 3421 would allow the wing backs slightly more licence and the CF to remain more advanced but the agree in general with the philosophy. Hoj probably needs a rest mind you, it’s not working for him atm...

Been listening for quite a while now and have enjoyed for the most part, however the propensity to try and extract positivity from obvious train crashes can be nauseating at times. Would it be more interesting and relevant if you discussed with open honesty and let’s hear more analysis of the rather numerous short comings which are causing us issues with the lack of coaching, tactical issues and our players turning their backs to the ball when facing shots like 8 year olds in a Tyro league match.... Too much skimming the surface and positive ‘spin’ Nice but not very nitty gritty.... Acceptance of mediocrity is one of the reasons we are lacking motivation and ambition leading to **** poor performance.....!

Blue eyed boys him and Bednerek both not up to the premier league and never have been...

Has Ralph left the building?

It’s much more about choosing wisely than paying over a certain figure for a player. Most of our choices have been poor recently and there is no excuse for that given the resource we have to thoroughly check a player out. Jo blogs off the street could have had that kind of failure without any black boxes and the Staplewood resource around him..
-
Errr not like that we won’t Ralph...
-
why didn’t he slot Valery straight in, it is bizarre putting the bloody terrible Vestaguard straight back in at short notice too. Also it is evident that Ralph is losing some respect with his fall outs and favouritism to certain players what ever their form. Not so sure at all about him now, he is very sure of himself but doesn’t back it up....The decision making just gets more and more odd.
-
A couple of things here: High transfer Rees do not always relate to great players. Why waste money on complete dross just because we cannot afford or be willing to pay 80m for a player.... You cannot justify the second by saying we cannot afford 80m. We need to be a lot cleverer than we have been in recent times. Clearly some players we paid 15 to 20m for were not worth 5m and one or two not worth 1m so it is not unreasonable to suggest we have been spending large because money was burning a hole in our pocket and procurement wasted the cash. Ralph - question: Why did you take Yan Valery to Tottenham ?
