  1. You are entitled to your opinion......... ;-)))
  2. His brother Paul was immense though !!! ;-)
  3. If you are referring to my post then if you read it again it is about our old fashioned ways and lack of coaching...
  4. I’m not so sure it’s all about recruitment, yes sure there is an strong element, however the top managers seem to be very good at coaching, take Poch who was/is renowned for it and Koman and Klopp etc. They all seem to be foreign admittedly but they can coach. Watching us against Chelsea it looks to me as though we currently don’t coach players. People on here - certain people, harp on and on about employing ‘football’ people to manage and coach us. The problem is these types are invariably stuck in a time warp and don’t have coaching skills. If you have coaching skills you can probably recognise the right players to recruit too... We need modern thinking, a focus on faster thinking, fitness of mind and body, psychology - God we lack belief which in this day and age is a crime of management and coaching in its self.....
  5. If we worked harder, they would still have most of the ball, the difference is our players would tire faster and they would exploit it much more easily. Just playing devil's advocate. Yes but it doesn’t stop them closing down and because they do they win procession back quickly and are back in control leaving us getting knackered singularly, now and again and half heartedly chasing the ball again. We do not chase chase the ball down with purpose when out of procession.
  6. We couldn’t keep the ball they hunt and close down very quickly in packs. This how the top teams play. However we sit off, sit deep and invite pressure. Why don’t we close down in the same way ? You don’t have to be Eden Hazard to be able to that and it’s critical to stopping these guys playing. Particularly not having the player quality that other teams we surely need to make them work harder. Time and again we gave the ball away because of Chelsea’s hard work closing us.
  7. Hoedt obviously has too much influence over Hughes for what ever reason. This will cause resentment with the other players apart from the fact he is crap! Poor decision Hughes... A huge risk for Hughes too as he may lose the crowd if as is likely Hoedt doesn’t perform ..... Mystifying ..
  8. If Hughes reverts to the same two central defenders then he really is behind the curve. No excuses, Hoedt needs dropping from the squad let alone the team.....
  9. If we were to make a change this is a great shout....
  10. Well thought through and written.....
  11. Errrr ‘North of Birmingham’ ????
  12. I’m not sure it’s that devensive. Our problem has been the midfield where we have been outnumbered. There is no point in more forwards if we can’t keep hold of the ball. Hughes has been putting more forwards on in games we are behind in and it ‘clearly’ hadn’t worked. Under the circumstances in my view this isn’t a bad team except for Hoedt.
  13. Sorry fans have every right to criticise players and management as we effectively paying their wages. Even though sky pay the cheques the team is the sum total of zero without the fans. Passionate supporters will be passionate about their team and have opinions on their team. These people are genuine supporters And have every right to their opinions, they are just as big supporters as the quiet no ambition, I’m not worthy people who never ever would dare have an opinion that differs from people who happen to be in charge at a club. Get a life, find some spunk and give real support for what you think in life. If not crawl in a corner and die and leave the rest of us to passionately give our opinions. Wimps were never winners ever.... Thanks for you meek support but really it doesn’t count for much in all honesty.
  14. Really ! Is this a real topic ??????
  15. Gabbiadini if not Gallagher
  16. How on Earth you can accuse ‘most people’ of lacking balance and perspective on this forum I don’t know.... You are rather too concerned with your own ‘perspective’ mate on many counts. You need to watch a game a lot more closely before you start accusing people of lacking perspective and take a look your sanctimonious attitude to others opinions.
  17. My God. If you have to try and strengthen your weak argument by questioning my English on a minute technicality you really do need to find more evidence to back up your opinions on the subject. A poor attempt discredit my point which is, by the way based on 20 games not just one pass in one game. Crawl back in your study and stick to what you claim to know best - construction of sentences! Idiot!
  18. He scuffed it about 3” when he could/should of properly cleared it. Generally a slight better performance from him yesterday but still not the player Yoshi is I’m afraid.
  19. Hughes has no bloody idea here. We ARE TOO DEEP
  20. What for thigh ball ???
  21. Respect for Hughes gone with the Hoedt selection. What on Earth is he thinking ????
  22. Hughes is just looking very strange indeed with his team selections.... What is it with football managers .....
  23. Davis and Romeu ummmmm Dynamite....
  24. Yes I believe you are right which is really truely staggering.... If Hughes honestly think Hoedt is good enough for the Premier League then we have a serious problem with him at the helm and I was one of his advocates to get the job full time too.... Managers who either cannot see their weakest players or are not capable of dropping players they ‘clearly’ are bias towards are doomed to fail.
  25. I’ll have a pint of what your on please.... Just odd - Hoedt yeah right and - yeah well
