A few people saying Armstrong played well..... He is ok on the ball but off the ball he was very poor in my view. He doesn’t show for the ball enough and last night did not join in with the ‘press’ hardly once leaving Ings to tire himself out while he stood and watched. Ings spoke to him several times about that during the game but still Armstrong didn’t press. This contributed also to Antonio having the freedom of St Mary’s in the first half with Armstrong nowhere to be seen. So yes ok on the ball but ok but off it not contributing enough and does hide at times.

One can only assume you are about ten .... In your defence.

What’s the matter mate that was a fair and accurate summary! We were second best in every department tonight. There was no press, no support at all for the guy on the ball, Armstrong was a complete passenger though they all looked tired you have to say. We were taught a serious lesson in pressing and how to offer options for the player in the ball tonight. Well done to West Ham who were excellent.

Ok I will say what others are thinking but afraid to say. As a player I dislike Hoedt. I actually I am not a great fan of his personality either. So there - just an opinion but best out in the open... Cue the ‘I bet he doesn’t like you either quotes’ and ‘You don’t even know him’ quotes from the politically correct crowd.. Oh and the ‘call yourself a fan’ quotes too lol... Just answering the question ....

Apart from the fact that Romeu is just not good enough these days Hughes seems have personal issues with lots of players as it is only as a last resort that some get a look in despite the obvious form shown from those individuals and the total lack of form/skill shown by the current first eleven set in concrete player or players.... One of Hughes major failings seems to be his propensity towards favourites....
