It is quite surprising that the ex chairman has not yet donated £1,000 to Save our saints. Mind you, Lowe also hasn't yet donated. I blame it on the slow Easter post!!

Why didn't Nineteen Canteen save us from administration

He could always sign cheques under the name of The Third Bear. -
Why didn't Crouch save us from administration?

Lowe pays you. Why don't you ask him??? -
I went to that game at Upton Park with the missus who was making one of her rare appearances at a match. She has only been to about 10 or so matches in her life but one of them had been the cup game at Luton which we lost (I think) in January / February 1988. That Luton game , standing in the away end was pretty terrifying for her. Towards the end everyone got really excited as we pressed for an equaliser and as the crowd swayed around she got swept away in the surge. It was pretty normal for football fans at that time in large crowds but for her it was very frightening. She couldn't believe why the stewards didn't open one of the gates to the fences to let people spill onto the pitch. 15 months or so later at Upton Park it was all very prophetic for her. To a non footballing person like her, something like Hillsborough was bound to happen sooner or later. It was a pity that us footballing people didn't forsee it.

Without wishing to be pedantic, Dave Jones and Richards are not sat in their seats. Perhaps they had to stand throughout the game as some sort of penance for the state that the club is now in.

£500K Needed to Keep Going to the End of the Season
Tamesaint replied to Guided Missile's topic in The Saints
Not again!! "fan's fault" "Crouch stinks" "Lowe is wonderful" "Um Pahars is nasty" - don't you have anything constructive or anything different to post??? You are against Fans collecting money in buckets Fans putting their hands in their pockets to buy their club Any consortium that includes Crouch and / or McMenemy Any "hybrid" consortium. What exactly are in favour of - other than rounding up anyone who didn't attend SMS in the dark days of the "Revolutionary Coaching Setup" and ritually disembowelling them on the pitch?? You apparently love this club but you are happy to see it die.... and if it dies and becomes AFC Southampton you will then stop supporting it. What exactly are you in favour of??? ... oh and by the way - tell Rupert we are still expecting a sizeable donation from him for SaveourSaints. Has his donation been caught up in the Easter post??? -
I thought the bucket volunteers did very well today. Any idea of how much was collected??

£500K Needed to Keep Going to the End of the Season

But Lowe Loves this club. Of course he will donate as he loves this club ... won't he????? The Observer featured him yesterday in their bit where they like to expose double standards // people going back on their word. I wonder why they picked on him. -
I reckon the new respectable 19 Canteen came about because some idiot yesterday posted on here hoping that 19 died soon. It has probably made him consider his own mortality & he wants to redress his reputation just in case the Grim Reaper was to strike!!
-
Taking the patronising tone doesn't suit you .. Jonathan :-) :-) I think the phrase used was "spiteful and hateful little man."
-
What a feeble excuse. For a man who supposedly loves the club you seem remarkably reluctant to do anything to save it. You remind me so much of Lowe whio has not yet got round to donating anything to saveoursaints.
-
I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a donation from Rupes. His representative on this board, Nineteen Canteen, is very much against the idea of SaveOurSaints (see his various posts on the subject) so I take it that Rupes is as well.
-
I remember back in 1986 / 1987 the club was financed by lotteries / scratch cards etc etc. The club had some kind of 1000 Cliub scheme which culminated in a big on the pitch draw when the winner received a couple of thousand. At the time Askham was the chairman. The winner of the draw was .... Askham!! I thought that there might have been a redraw when it was obvious who had won ... but no chance when Guy was in charge. You would have thought he would donate a bit more than £1,000.

More proof that you are not a true Saints fan. Admit it. You are a phoney.
-
Sentiments like this demonstrate once for all why you, Sundance / Nineteen are not a true Saints fan. No real fan would harbour such sentiments let alone write them on a message board. You are a phoney 19. Just admit it.
-
I accept your views biut if it comes down to a choice between a fan consortium or no consortium , I know where I would like us to be.... and it ain't with AFC Saints!!!
-
I think 19C was a Man U supporter in those days. That is why he is so anti LM nowadays!!
-
How important is the division in which we are playing next season to the different consortiums? If we stay in the championship does that make us more attractive to an "asset stripper" type of consortium or less attractive? Are we only of interest to a "real supporter" consortium if we slip down a division?? Television money will be a lot less next season in Div 1 than in the Championship which would IMHO suggest that we would be less attractive to the asset strippers. Are we more likely to get a "real supporter" consortium in League 1 ?? And if so, should we (very ironically) want to get relegated to get the better sort of owner??
-
I bet Nineteen Canteen doesn't know what the chocolate boxes were.
-
What an excellent post. Unlike you, I have still gone to St Marys. But I fully respect and understand your decision. Nice to know that you will be back now that Lowe and the Quisling are gone.
-
One of the most encouraging things about this whole game is that there seem to be very few leaks ... so far. If 34 people are interested you would have thought that there would have been a leak or 2 by now. 2 years ago when "Paul Allen" was on the scene the old S4E website used to be clogged up with conjecture, ITK's and rumours. And look where that got us!! No news may well be good news.
-
Yeah, yeah ,yeah Sundance / Nineteen whatever you want to call yourself. Lifelong supporter , yeah ,yeah. Not associated with Lowe , yeah I really believe you. Are you a Saints supporter? Wil you buy a season ticket if Rupert is unable to give you one next season? You never post on football matters. You never stop peddling the Lowe line. Did you go to Watford last night?? No, I didn't think so. You are against any idea of raising money whether it is buckets outside the ground , question and answer sessions or any other idea - probably because you seem to delight so much from slagging off the fans that you cannot abide the thought of something constructive coming from the fanbase. After all they probably know more about Justin Fashanu that you do ;-)
-
He was excellent last night and it looks as if we have discovered his best position.
-
I reckon we get off and the FL award us an extra 5 points as thanks for pointing out the anbiguities in their rules. :-) We then procedd to get relegated as we earn no points on the field in our last 6 games :-(
-
and what does 19 Canteen do??? The only person who would employ him is Rupert. I wonder if Rupert is allowing him a place in the bunker.
