I see that your promise to never mention MLT again lasted about a week .
Anyone would think that you were 2 different people the way that your moods swing so violently ;-)
For the last week or so, 19C , you have been posting quite sensible , well thought out, reasonable posts.
Then you have started on this thread and we are back to the same old nonsense.
Anyone would think you were 2 different people. ;-)
The ground did look on the empty side last night but I was still slightly surprised to see that last night's attendance was only 16.4k. The weather was foul ,it was the highest attendance in Leagues 1 & 2 & Wycombe did not bring many but blimey - even Pimpey got more!!! We are used to more.
2 matches on the south coast on the same night. I wonder if there are some people who watch both Saints and Pimpey and last night chose to watch the (supposedly) higher standard game at Pimpey rather than come to SMS.
It may only have 1 covered stand but the Don Valley Stadium has a capacity of 25K and is at least a major sporting stadium . Luton's previous away match was at Grays Atghletic in front of 1,600 people in a stadium which can hold 4,000 at a pinch. Their next game is at Chester in a stadium with a capacity of 5,000. Maybe the Don Valley is not so bad!!
I wonder what they will make of SMS if they come here on 2 nd January.
On ITV they also said that a trip to Rotherham was "hardly a glamour tie for Luton supporters." Probably not if you are a plastic Premiership fan who also works for ITV. But if you are a supporter of a team in the Conference, a trip to a Football League ground in the second round of the Cup is not to be sneezed at!!!
The glib cliches of some of these so called journos !!!
I agree. The ground was buzzing for 5 minutes afterwards.
A pity we didn't capitalise on it. We came close but should have got the third immediately afterwards.
He did seem to give Norwich a free kick every time that they appealed for one. Some of them were just laughable.
Match stats show we conceded 15 free kicks - they gave away 9. I may be ever so slightly biased but I don't think that we were that much dirtier than them.
