Deliberate announcement of the bad news prior to takeover - as those players without loyalty seek to leave the club regardless of the impending takeover. Followed by announcement that Pinnacle and MLT looking good. 2. MLT Takeover. Win win scenario.

The Echo's dramatisation of events shows them as typical hacks, selling newspapers by spinning stories generated from the more pessimistic attitudes of people on here.... from what I can see! Chill. MLT is confident of a takeover very shortly. It will therefore happen. But, people on this site slagging off Pinnacle and others due to their own Echo inspired impatience need to go for a long walk. All you achieve is to lower the morale of the inevitable owners. All you do is make life painful with your impatience. We will be taken over. It will happen soon. IF and I think its a big IF MLT and Pinnacle dont win the race or pull out then another consortium waits in the wings and another after them. CHILL OUT. The Echo is scare mongering to sell papers. MLT will be in soon.

Dont be so daft. Mr Fry will be handing over to MLT in pretty short order. Just be patient. MLT and his backers are exactly what we need to move on and upwards.

More than coincidence. I seem to recall the great calls for youth right at that time. SCW deployed to find a coach willing to take on Lowe's plan. Wotte was Lowe's first choice until GB destroyed the plan with a powerful interview before the board and got the job. List goes on. I think its pretty safe to assume for so so so many reasons that Wotte was well in the mind of his good friend Lowe a long time ago.

In MLT we trust.

Dont lets go there again. But... Wotte was the man 2 years ago who introduced the sweety mice of youth into Lowe's mind before GB took the job, he then presided along with Lowe in pushing a youth policy onto JP (who was crap I grant you) and subsequently took over the team - played men - but then failed to lead us out of the relegation zone. Wotte is second only to Lowe in putting Saints into their lowest position for 49 years.

I agree. Wotte relegated us to our lowest league position for 49 years. That is a fact. As far as I am concerned I hope he enjoys the souvineers he bought today as far away from this club as possible.

Why? We've needed a sole investor for 14 years. We need one man - one vision - one club. plc was a disaster. Provided he has the funds for a summer spending spree and a new manager he can sell the club on later anyway in a sounder position than it is now. Bring on the new ONE!

I will email them and congratualte them on the way this has been handled. First time we have seen some financial professionalism at SMS for 14 years. People need to realise two things: 1. The prefered bidder (Pinnacle) is in place with Fry et al. Further clarification is needed in a complex deal which takes time. 2. If not Pinnacle Fry et al have to entertain other bids. Either way its a win for Saints. Survival is the key. Survival without Lowe and the chance to rebuild. FWIW, Pinnacle will shortly close the deal IMHO. CHILL!
