Thats pretty much what Rickie hinted - same impression I got. Add Brendan Rodgers sending him a fax on his debut as a Liverpool lad and you can see exactly whats been happening a mile off. Interesting how many sweety mice Gerrard has put into Adam Lallana's head too - and will continue to do so. I hope Saints are sending a complaint out to Hodgson and requesting he reiterates his line on no transfer talk at the WC. Got to admire Liverpool - as I posted elsewhere every department pulling in the same long term direction for the Club under Rodgers. Very impressive - and making Saints look chumps.

Blackmore: Players angry with Board & Reed
SaintRobbie replied to Saint Charlie's topic in The Saints
Can deny MLT just owned Adam Blackmore there - who frankly is looking like a bit of an idiot saying that the players will all leave because they are unhappy. We had the tightest camp in the PL last month, unhappiness doesn't come that quickly. Yes bemusement and confusion, but a new manager = new opportunity and hope. -

http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/84128037/ Light relief from last nights England game - brilliant! -
I can't see it. I can't see Reed being that stupid.

The 'Rickie Lambert story' the film. (Cast list)

I think you'd need an awful lot of the cast of a The Muppet Show to play the Board. -
Hang on though. This has to be rubbish. How is Lallana going to get a medical in Liverpool tomorrow when he will be on a plane to Miami?
-
New managers opening comments will be interesting when asked if he'd have rather had Lallana et al in the team when he took over.
-
Reeds in for an awful lot of abuse now if true. No manager and the Club selling its captain to Liverpool despite categorically stating this wouldn't happen? Oh dear oh dear. Still - not happened yet.
-
They'll be bigger protests Prof. Hang on in there.

Anyone actually rang the ticket office?
-
Player says he wants future sorted by WC. Saints want to wait. Liverpool want to look else where if Saints wait. Good news - he's staying and his futures sorted out before WC!
-
If he wants to play Champions League football he can lead his team there! And he has not said he wants to go. It's all speculation.
-
Rubbish. He's never said anything. Total professional. Liverpool fans really unwelcome on here at the moment.

We need a new owner. -
Have to say I felt the same. But - as usual - I renewed. I guess next season the feelings of hope, optimism and dreams will be replaced by standard blind optimism and curiosity. Anyone know how many STs did renew?

Doubt it there seems to be universal distrust for Krueger - he's finished. -
We are a club in crisis though. The reason is that the wrong decisions made over the next couple of months will send us down again. So far, our first 2 weeks have seemingly been pretty poor, but fingers crossed we will gain some balls and resist hereon in.
-
Then they should have said so and we'd have understood. But even if there was a financial crisis and they said it now I doubt people would believe it now after this weeks debacle.

Are Liverpool buying lambert just to unsettle the ship?
SaintRobbie replied to djharvey's topic in The Saints
No they have been tapping him up for ages. Brendan Rodgers sent him a fax and congratulations from the Kopites and Liverpool when he made his England debut, playing on the fact he was a Kirby lad. Got to take your hat off to Liverpool every lever they have is pulling in the same direction, which is why they will be champions again soon. I hate them at the moment for walking over our lack of experience and weak leadership. -
Let's just hope they react to the fan backlash from the message boards!
-
To be fair we have to assume they are all talking and making decisions together on this. Point is Kruegers cred is shot and he will need to go. The rest have a chance to redeem themselves by being strong. It's all very well saying we are not selling and waiting for managers input then watching Liverpool make fools of us by calling the bluff, but they haven't let the top players go ....... just a legend!
-
Good point.
-
A very good read. But unfair on Adam Lallana. He has been professional throughout. There is no evidence he's asked to leave and even if he stayed at Saints he'll be captain and a future captain of England. Win win for our Adam.

Yes it's called professionalism. To be fair a CEO is damned if he does or damned if he doesn't. Bottom line here though is the lack of integrity shown by the club and apparent exposure over Lamberts sale of being made to look like fools and held to ransom by better negotiators from Liverpool. That makes our team look amateurish. And frankly Kruegers interview was pretty weak. Krueger will not survive long as CEO. He's lost the fan base. No one will believe anything he says, or at best what he does will be dissected and cause division. I've said it before elsewhere but a successful club revolves around 3 factors that must remain in balance. 1. Strong governance - we have a weak CEO and jury's out on Les Reed and Kat L as owner as no one understands her ambition. We have no manager. 2. Genius of our players. We have an outstanding team that with a little investment will hit Europe provided the governance/manager is right. 3. A passionate and ambitious fan base. No change but at risk of coming alive and demonstrating and further putting the club out of balance. As soon as the fan base turn (& I can see it is starting to having watched the same things happen during the Lowe years) then it's almost impossible for the Governance to survive and more genius leaves. Almost every post on the message boards by the fans demonstrates a fear that in some way one or more of these elements is out of balance. For me - the major failing is clearly with strong governance. It's threatening to rip out our genius and provoke the fan base. It needs to stop now. We need leadership. That appears to rest with Les Reed as Kat L will say nothing and Krueger is already discredited. GO ON LES - SEIZE THE MOMENT. PUT US BACK INTO BALANCE OR BECOME THE NEXT RUPERT LOWE. HERO OR ZERO?
-
Let's give Les Reed a chance. Krueger has failed this week. Inspirational speaker and motivator? I think not. Exposed on TV Interviews as lacking integrity and through some very simple internet research a failed ice hockey coach who by his own self admission knows nothing about football (which is painfully clear to us all). Les Reed has got lucky so far with MP. He has to find us a manager to steady the ship and - as yet - apart from letting Lambert go for a song, which I assume is more Kruegers lack of experience in negotiations, Reed has not sold anyone on. Test will be Lallana over the next 24 hours given Liverpool are taking the mickey out of us on player sales, but give Les Reed a chance. If he can get a manager, pledge (AGAIN) no more sales until that manager has made his assessment and announced a preseason then he will have done his job. Oh, and for good measure the only other thing he needs to do is engineer Kruegers sacking. So, let's see what he can do. Balls in his court.
