  1. I've a message for our owner. Sell the Club and sell quickly before you ruin your great fathers legacy.
  2. I agree with Adrian - the Board and ownership have not seen our club turn toxic. I think it's about to happen and it will shock them.
  3. Protest. There is no other way that Kruger and Less Reed will understand the anger that the fans are feeling. Especially as the Board have now been exposed as lacking integrity. I won't do it, but it is the only way fans can express their feelings in preseason. I've renewed my Season Ticket at a cost of well over £800. I hate to say this, but I am wondering if it's going to be worth it. I am not sure I want to be part of the vitriol that is about to descend on KL as owner of this mess, Les Reed as the principal architect and Kruger as the sacrificial clueless clown. I am not sure I want to go through the hatred of the Lowe years and watch our hopes and dreams evaporate again. I am thinking of phoning up in order to cancel. I hope I will get over it, but losing Cortese's ambition, our respected coaching staff, our talisman striker, our finest midfielder, our young talented left back, and I am sure many others and seeing a foreign manager come in who potentially can't even speak English (even when the last one could really!) Is it worth it?
  4. CLUELESS KRUGER. lack of ambition, lack of leadership, lack of ability., lack of integrity? This man just said no selling until we get a manager? Can we believe anything the Board say? When do we head to SMS for the protest to wake these idiots up?
  5. Interesting comments about Moyes not playing the Southampton way? What is the Southampton way? It's the way of the manager isn't it? I still think Moyes is the safest bet and I guess he will be hungry to re establish himself with a good young team. 18 months ago we would have all sacrificed a limb to have him instead of the disloyal Argy. .... And as for the idea of Hoddle, the disloyal Englishman, returning Dalek, you are so having a laugh!!
  6. Yes. This time he'd have more of a choice I guess.
  7. Adam is our captain and leader. If I had to lose someone it would be Shaw.
  8. And he knows how to kill off a game.
  9. Les Reed needs to ask for Sir Alex Fergusons opinion... Moyes would be the answer. Something dependable, tough, British and at Everton he could bring on youth and mediocre players whilst getting the best from really good players. Manure wasn't right for him - but Saints would be a chip off the old block. Frankly I would feel as if we'd lost a good coach and gained a great manager if we signed him. He'd steady us, keep us close to 8th place then kick us on after a season. I think others are more of a risk.
  10. Worrying isn't it? It's a result of extremely poor leadership at the top of the club. As I've stated before had we had Cortese right now there would be no players talking out, a feeling that an even better manager was on the way and a clear statement we are not selling. Krugeurs statement tried to do that but he clearly lacks gravitas and experience. What's more his foolishness in hinting that some individual players may go has probably knocked a couple of million off their value. It's looking very amateurish at Saint Mary's. I'm worried. But let's see who becomes manager - a hungry Moyes will put our players back on track.
  11. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton/10860028/David-Moyes-should-really-be-the-only-candidate-to-replace-Mauricio-Pochettino-as-Southampton-manager.html Moyes. I want Moyes. For all the reasons above plus unlike the disloyal Argy he will win us the FACup!
  12. The only lesson I get from this is that KL has stopped pumping money in to the club and so she needs to sell up and the new owners need to bring Cortese back! Not sure either is truly necessary. We need some leadership, a strong managerial appointment that will inspire our players and a very clear statement saying we are no longer a selling club, we don't need to sell unless our manager says so.
  13. We need to chant something about his outstanding loyalty.
  14. Why couldn't he just say, no players will be sold this summer until the new manager has had a chance to revie his squad. Even then our intention is to add to our squad. That's the only message we want to hear. Saying no players will be sold unless Les Reid says so doesn't fill me with much confidence.
  15. Oh and I meant to put (in the post above) that my choice would be Moyes. He will be hungry to prove himself and will have the strength of character to refuse to sell anyone. We need a strong manager who can bring on the young players. And we need one now before our owners allow the exodus to begin.
  16. There are only two rules to running a football club: 1. Never replace a manager unless you know you have someone better lined up. 2. Never sell a good - settled - player. You will never be able to guarantee replacing him, no matter how many players you buy with the earnings. Are our owners and Krueger running a good club? Time will tell. But all I could think of this morning when I heard MP was about to leave was 'shalallalalalalala...who's ****ing laughing now?' Finally, the Guardian report makes it clear that MP was leaving as the ownership did not share MPs ambition (& ours) to kick on to the next level. It also stated that our owners failed to guarantee they wouldn't sell anyone ( or should I say cash in?) If this is true - and we can but speculate at this stage - then our owners have had their honeymoon. It's time to sell the club and bring back Cortese.
  17. MP will fail at Spurs IMHO. It is hard to see how anyone can succeed with their lack of a production line and divided board. But, I wish his the best of luck. At least we might have a crack at the FA Cup next year!
  18. Yep - Moyes
  19. I think so. Thing about Cortese was that we would all believe him, and so would the top 4.
  20. Got to agree with this. I see no evidence, yet, of our current owner and Krueger sharing the same vision. But, we shall see. I guess the gauntlet has been throw, will the clubs leadership pick it up or just sell players and a manager? If the latter you've got to wonder if they are asset stripping. I live in hope though. Deep down i like to think Marcus L would have kept our team together and pushed onwards and upwards. Will Katerina?
  21. Right now i can't help but think that Cortese would have crushed the rumours and sent out a strong message that MP was going nowhere as well as the rest of our best players. His ambition alone would be keeping our best at the club. Cortese is the one man who could keep the big 4 away and put us up there with them IMHO. Not a nice guy but by god he was effective. Saints through and through.
  22. Poch will fail at Spurs. It's a graveyard for managers. Always has been. What worries me is how rudderless we appear to be without Cortese. If we had his drive, ambition and blatant arrogance I suspect all talk of sales and movement of MP would have been rebutted. Krueger looks weak at the moment. We look like a club that is welcoming offers and selling off the Crown Jewels. It may be part of the tactics - absorb the speculation, sign MP and continue the project, but I doubt it. Our players seem to be as confused as all of us. This lack of leadership is destabilising our great club. I miss Cortese. He was tough and ambitious.
  23. The irony of this debate is that eelpie is spot on. It is effecting morale and the very fact this post is up and running and people are getting at each other already demonstrates that! There is uncertainty and a looming threat of a lack of ambition and leadership creeping in -it needs a swift response - unequivocal statement that says no managerial release and no players - we need to hear that we are no longer a selling club and kill this reputation once and for all. Europe here we come!!
  24. Completely agree. Some season ticket holders will be wondering whether to renew. They will want to know if it is going to be worth it or if we are a club in crisis about to let a good manager go and a team of potential great players be ripped apart. We are as close to kicking on to the next level as we have ever been. It's time to invest and sat once and for all we are no longer a feeder club. It's our moment. Come on Saints show some guts and make a statement that says NO SALES NO RELEASES.
  25. What would we be able to do with 47m? Not be able to buy two players as good as Shaw and Lallana who are settled and have such wonderful potential. Sell players? No. Sell the Club to someone who wants to invest and kick onwards. This is when we need Cortese's ambition.
